Influences

Featured Replies

are you influenced by someone or by something? did anything totally change your life or your style?

i have to say music influenced me a lot...my lifestyle, my thoughts and maybe my future as well, dunno yet. i always thaught that music is a perfect way to send your message to people. and the lyrics have a very strong meaning in my opinion. Radiohead's lyrics influence my thinking and i have to say a big thanks to Coldplay as well. i know i'd never be here and never would listen to bands like Keane,Flaming Lips or Radiohead if Coldplay wouldn't release AROBTTH. A Rush Of Blood To The Head influenced me .

also my dad. i don't have many opportunities to speak to him, but everytime when i meet him , i always feel i'm at a lesson which calls 'life'. i know that i'm still immature and i need advices. i always learn something important during the talking with him. his words influence me

and to be honest, i'm a person who very often just doesn't give a f**k when people tell me something or just talk to me. if i don't respect those people or i find their words useless for me i don't let them to influence me

I think in former times I was really influenced by my sister...in case of music and stuff..in behaviour I'm often influenced by my friends...but nowadays I choose the music I listen to myself....I think I'm also influenced by my dad......

I've been influenced by Bono alot. Especially with regards to his concern and compassion for Africa and people living in extreme poverty. I have written lots of papers in school about his work, I have signed petitions and tell people about it. I think if it weren't for Bono I would not really care about the '3rd' world all that much.

Also a few of my counsellors at the Bible Camp I went to as a kid (and I'll be working at this summer) They just encouraged me and gave me words and prayers that have made me a better person.

*good thread Nik*

Bono is my hero... well.. I admire the way that he uses his power to try to make the people realize that there's another people who needs help... specially to the "important" people.,the ones that we can't talk to and tell them what we think about the world...

but my influences are everywhere, my friends, my family, the music, etc

I can say I'm influenced by music too, of course.Colpdlay and Muse .I'm also influensed by some books.But people.......I don't really think I'm influenced by any people.I haven't seen my father for a loooong time and if I'd meet him I wouldn't even wanna talk to him.So just music and books.

I used to have my father as a model of living but not anymore... is on that list of people who disappointed me...

The band Relient K influenced me a whole lot.

I used to be extreeeeemly depressed but when I really fully started listening to their music I realised there is so much to live for o.o;

I love them so much <3
