But some people can become very close friends via messageboards...

I would say "no"........but there is one thing:

There are people here whose opinion means something to me and that's it!

 

Of course i really like some people here.....

 

But I could never meet them,go to a party with them,have fun with them,(they don't even know my voice:confused:)

 

So of course this is something totally different....

 

I see my "friends" here more as people who I can talk about my problems in a more anonymous way with...ok.....I'm not really "anonymous"......but it is something else!

I agree with Julia in some way... I mean, of course we can't compare friends from here with real life, but it's also true that sometimes if you're just feeling down or in a bad mood you come here discuss, have a chat, have a laugh and it helps... real friends are more for serious stuff...

Well ... i think that friends u can see are more important cause when something happens to u ... i don't think anybody from here will be able to do anything or to help u. But there's 2 or 3 ppl on here that are really important to me ... who i see as real friends.

no, my friends in real life are more important than my friends here even if I care about them a lot too, but then again you can't really compare the friends in real life with the "cyberfriends" here, as a lot of people already has said. it's just not the same thing.

there are a few people here that I feel close to though, maybe 2 or 3, and I would miss them a lot if I they decided to not come online as often as they do now and it would make me really sad if they just sort of "disappeared" from msn & coldplaying
