Celebrity In Baby With Normal Name Shocker!!!!

Featured Replies

Sorry Billy, I'm not taking the mick out of you, more the media and their millions of articles about unusual baby names.

Scottish screen star Billy Boyd's partner Ali McKinnon gave birth to their first child on Wednesday, April 26. Boyd's son weighed in at six pounds 10 ounces, and mother and baby are doing well.

But far from following the current trend for unusual celebrity baby names - including Gwyneth Paltrow's son Moses and Tom Cruise's baby daughter Suri - the pair have opted for a more traditional name: Jack William.

A message on Boyd's website reads, "Billy and Ali are delighted to announce the birth of their son, Jack William Boyd. Billy is exceptionally proud of them both."

Awww, good for them :nice:

It's kind of weird how they called his girlfriend "partner"... I don't know if that's a british thing, but in America I always tend to think that means a gay relationship LMFAO I had to read the sentence like 3 times just to get that image out of my head.

Is this the year of the baby or what?

its one of the poilte ways of doing things over here. My impression is that its something to do with when you reach a certain age, to show your maturity you have a partner rather than a girlfriend or boyfriend.

doesn't bother me either way to be honest, it just seems excessively formal to introduce someone as 'my partner'
