Now I know what school is for....

Featured Replies

.....first to confuse and then to find your way!

And to everyone who hates school I can't understand that!

Yeah you have to learn how to count things together and stuff....

I'm not talking about that, I'm talking about a situation today that again proved to me that school is actually really cool:

Wednesday......

Our first lesson is religious catholic education. So, there is a teacher sitting in front of us who is talking in a good mannner about catholic church who shows us the good and positive sides of it!

Second lesson: History!

In front of me there is sitting a man in his 50s telling us something about Nazi Germany......and its relation to church!

He is talking in a sarcastic way especially about catholic church. He is making fun of it, of its rules etc......

Julia, an 18 year old girl with black glasses is sitting there and listening and making up her mind about what he tells her.....

She is getting confused at first, because there is suuuuch a big difference between what the religious education teacher told her and what the history teacher tells her.

So she says :"Stop now!You are confusing me!First lesson catholic church=good, second lesson catholic church=Bad!Wow......this is funny what a big difference there is between the subjects!...."

Her history teacher looks at her and says:"Well, Julia isn't that good? I mean it's good that you say that, because it proves that this is the reason why you are here, to find your own way until your a-levels. Isn't it cool that you get opinion A in the first lesson and opinion B in the second? And now it is up to you, build up your mind about it!Make your own decision in what you believe!Fidn your own way"

And Julia starts to think.......: "Actually I knew this before, but this situation was a great situation! Thanks Mr History-Man for telling me this, because now I exactly know why I'm here (yeah first to get a good education.....for my future job), although I knew it for myself before.....but thanks...just thanks!"

Yes.....I liked this day at school....

We had the Last day of a school year today.

There was a concert for 9th and 11th classes. All teachers and students were crying, singing and hugging and I was sitting there (I'm finishing 10th class) and thinking how lame it all was.

It just looked so superficial, so unnatural, their tears and all....Like they're really upset....Well, maybe they really are, cos they have to go somewhere now, uni and stuff, but I doubt they were crying cos they love their teachers....

Because all this year they were talking about how boring and cruel our teachers are.

And now I'm thinking about what will I do next year, on the 25th of May, ending my school. Will I cry? Will I regret about 10 years I spent here?...

I can't really imagine myself crying with my math teacher or something like that. I think on my Last school day I'll come to school in jeans, will be depressed and glad that I'll never see all these faces again.

All this graduation thing is a bit overrated, I think.

Mr History guy sounds like a cool teacher to learn from

It was like that at the end of my elementary, all the people were like kmeeh, but then again, I didn't really like any of them, and was damn glad I left for highscool.

I do think our is severely flawed and full of useless definitions you have to learn, but without any practical practice, so I can say school sucks, or at least our educational system...

school is a system created to control society.
