* The Story Of My Life ... *

Featured Replies

i haven't been on here a lot lately, well compared to before.

Just lost touch but i thought why not re-introduce all the lovely people here back into my life with a glimpse of what is going on. Actually, more like a small look into my love life. So if you don't want to cry, then stop reading now. lol It's not that bad, oh i'll just spit it out.

Theres a girl at work. Gorgeous girl, lovely girl and we are good mates. She has beautiful ginger/strawberry hair and the face of an angel. I've been working with her for 2 years and i really love working with her because we get on so well. I feel a lot for her. I think she feels something there for me too. We're always flirting and its fantastic. Until a point.

She has a boyfriend. Not any old boyfriend, a 26 year old one (yes she is my age) and they've been with each other for 4 ... FOUR years! So as fantastic as this all is, it kills me to think that nothing will happen with her because of him.

Its pretty hard for me when he comes in, at work and has a chat, a hug and a kiss, because it brings it all back that shes not available, but only on display.

Sometimes i think i'm reading her signs wrong, she doesn't actually fancy me, just likes me as a friend? But she always likes to touch me, talk dirty, and i can see it all in her eyes.

I'm so stuck on her, i think about her all week and can't her out of my head. I wish this was all going to come to some use. Ever seen that film, Eternal Sunshine of The Spotless Mind, well thats what needs to be done to me.

So i don't know. I mean i'm moving to uni soon and maybe this will all be forgotten but i want her as part of my life and i'n pleased she is, don't get me wrong i do appreciate that, but sometimes what is good for you, is even worse for you.

I'm not looking for advice, sympathy or what ever you'd like to give me. I'm just looking for an answer, thats impossible to find.

Thanks for reading. I don't know what i have achieved by writing this but at least i'm sharing it with others

:)

I remember a girl I liked had an older boyfriend sort of like that. I think she was 18 and he was like 26... She just knew she was so in love with him but I knew she and I had more fun and she was eventually going to break up with him... She didn't seem to understand love in a way she thought she did. She would say they're going to be together forever. Anyway she broke up but now I like someone else more. There's a good chance it could be like that for you.

lol thanks for being positive eric, i have thought of that and it isn't unrealistic but its hard to see that at the moment

Ohhh man I had the same thing. But with a girl who's boyfriend was a good friend of mine.

That and she was already upfront about it, she actually TOLD me that if it wasn't for her boyfriend she'd ask me out.

So it was like... We'd flirt insanely and then all of a sudden I'd see them together and be like "Damn...."

I don't even talk to her anymore. It was last summer (almost a year ago) and I went away for 2 months (working in London for one month, and holiday the other) and I got back and I just didn't need her anymore. What's funnier is that when I got back, she'd broken up with her boyfriend and could have been mine. After all the time I spent on her.

Well girls are like that.. really.. We are with someone and yet we are always looking and flirting with someone else even when most of the time we don't want nothing with them..but with her it may be that she has been with him for so long that she kinda looks for someone else, not to be with them but to spice things up and it may also be that she somehow has fallen for you and flirting is her way to feel close to you, but she won't break up with him until she is sure you'll be with her. But if you don't want your heartbroken it's better to say something.. :)

EVIL EVIL! :laugh3: :laugh3:

actually I think it's smart that... if you like someone else more to go with them. I mean... until you get to the point where you're ready to be serious with someone I don't see the point in staying in a relationship with someone if you don't believe you'll be with them forever.

yeah but you have to keep in mind that girls tend to be more insecure, specially when they are young. Sometimes they just go out with guys just to feel secure, you know.. or to feel they have someone.. But you know, they are not so bad.. they are actually better than the proud ones, because if you betray or do someone to the proud ones, they'll repay you ten times worse than what you did to them.. so watch out with the proud ones:stunned:

I have this friend who is going out with this guy to forget this other guy who got married. I have no idea why she is still going out with him if she doesn't like him. She already told him that she doesn't love him and that she loves the other guy, but he refuses to give up!:laugh3: But she is still with him because she is so insecure and doesn't want to be alone, it's quite sad to see... :/

yes, I see what you're saying. I was kind of talking to everyone when I was saying that, both guys and girls... but yes, I know it's hard to just drop someone. I just think it's a good idea to do instead of wasting time like you said.

It seems like a good idea to me to date a lot of people rather than feeling trapped with one person who you may not love.

That's why I cut them off so fast:laugh3: Once I know I don't love them I let them go right away before they start to get more attached because if I don't, it would just make it too hard for me to actually do it and feel trapped just like you said

:) you guys are great, thanks!

.. but yeah girls are like that and i do get the feeling she wants more spice, shes always talking about it ...

i have told her before and she was pretty shifty about it, i don't know what she thought. maybe she is scared about something different and does feel trapped?

all love is is caring about someone so much that you'd do a lot for them and you are attracted to them so to think about it, its very easy to be in love.

I feel it for you mate...big time. It seems very similar to some times in my life, if not the same. I would ask my self two questions... saying how you feel would make your self feel better, but it would change everything, and possibly not to your liking and you will be gutted for a long time, however you will be able to sleep with a clear consious at night and belive me its better in the end.... it may take a while though... if she is decent enough she will be a friend at the end of day may bee a great one.

or let time run its course, but what ever you do in that time dont do anything to unfairly tip this lady in your balance she is your friend.... and trusts you and possibly may end up vauling your opinons, you never know in the end she may come to you... there is so much I would like to say about this

ahhh i see. what a complicated thing.

you see, it sounds like she has feelings for you. but the thing is, it's incredibly difficult with someone to just break it off with someone who they have been going out with four years.

i say let it pan out, and if it's meant to be, she will come to you. i think she knows how you feel. though sometimes you might need to let her know.

it depends on her really.

sometimes girls read into things way too much and see it straight away. sometimes they don't read into it at all so they don't see it.

it seems you guys have that connection, that thing that makes you click, so to speak.

but my advice is to just let her pan it out over time and see what decision she makes.

you can't break up with a partner of four years with such sudden emotion. she'll probab;y need time to evaluate her feelings for you, and her feelings for her bf, and see which one is more prevalent.

anyway nigeeeee hope all turns out well.

who knows in that time being, you might get over her and develop deeper feelings for someone else.

nigel! ur back, im so happy. havent heard from u in yonks. sorry bout ur situation. i couldnt say whether she liked u or not, but dont give up on both sides yet...

i liked this guy heaps recently. but last weekend, my good friend had a birthday party at her block of land that was gonna be demolished in a few weeks. so everyone knew, and it was pretty crazy. by the end of the night ppl were full bashing down doors and breaking the windows, so my friend phoned the police.

anyway, i thought i saw him there but i wasnt sure. and for some reason i just got over him... it wasweird, but i just did. maybe it was the fact that i was pissed off about the disrespect some ppl showed, and because i related that to him (even tho i dont think he did anything), i just sorta got over him...

but who knows what will happen when i see him again... :D

but bleh... i dunno how thats gonna help you, anyways...

tar very much Bart, Bonnie & Bonnie! - lol yes i am back :) :P sometimes you think you have got over someone when you really haven't so watch out for that when you see him again.

i think what i will do is just leave it as it is and see, what is meant happen, does happen and you have to do things on instinct sometimes.

i make this sound like a bad thing when it really isn't, i know some lovely people and she is one of them and its great just to know her and i am reasonably content with that, but obviously could be better and i do want more.

After reading what you’ve explained, I don’t think you read her signs wrong... You can’t imagine everything, it must be something to go on between yourselves. Sometimes there’s a fine line between love and friendship and you might have crossed it... or you can’t even know if you have already done it. :\

One question, how did you realize that you felt sth special for her? You said you know her for 2 years – and this is a lot of time – but, I’m sure there was a time which you saw her only as a friend, and then... something special happened, I presume. – so how come?

Like the others said, a possible relationship is in her hands, ‘cause she will have to make the decision and I’m sure she already knows your feelings for her. Moreover she knows you’ll have to move to uni soon... so, if she has CLEAR ideas and really wanna be with you, and is sure that a relationship with you’d work –‘cause she has a bf at the moment, so she won’t break up with him if she has any doubt about it - , then she’ll choose you and will say something to you before your moving... that's for sure ;)

wo Iris i didn't know that was you! :) ... everyone has changed their names!

But yes i think i have read her signs in the right way or i wouldn't feel how i do now. I think i started seeing her as more than a friend about a year ago, i'd like always liked her in that way but accepted we were only friends.l Then we started getting closer and flirting more. i don't think i can pinpoint an exact moment, but everytime we talked we were always laughing and having fun with physical contact :)

one thing i didn't mention is she is leaving work soon in a couple of months to get full time work, so around august time she may have left, i will be leaving soon after so we'll see what kind of relationship we have then.

we did talk about this the other day and she said she doesn't want me to go to uni and i said i didn't want her to leave work. ah it was a very touching moment.

thanks Iris :) all of you have been really good!

Hahaha, I know you didn’t know it was me!!! :P that’s true, since you haven’t been here, lots of members have changed their username!

Whoa!! One year it’s just a long time for loving someone and doesn’t say anything about it – although in your situation would be pretty normal.

I think that, precisely, her leaving, will make the difference.. I mean, this is the point which if sth has to go on between yourselves, then it’ll happen. It’s clear that she likes you, the question is: does she like you enough for breaking up with her current bf?

Ooh, I’m sure it was such a very touching moment that one you’ve told us.

btw, keep us informed about it, huh, Nige?!

and good luck!!! ;)

so are you gonna ask her out or what Nigel?

btw, good luck

  • Author

of course i will keep you informed in this thread! :)

something is definitely going to happen soon ... good or bad ...

haha Josce i can't just ask her out .... i think thats pretty horrible on her boyfriend, i've just got to wait and see and keep up the flirting and the hints ;) and thanks!

* ok new update!*

this is soo good. unbelievable.

tonight i went into work, things have been a little different between me and amny in the last week or so, she has kept her distance a bit more. i just thought it was because she didn't want to get too close.

so i'm at work, and we have a new assistant manager, who has been working about 3 weeks. i'm thinking that amy and steve (thats his name) were getting a little close and then they finished their shifts. i looked outside in the carpark and saw them kissing. oh yes, fantastic.

i thought amy was cheating on her boyfriend. but it turns out amy dumped her boyfriend for steve a little while ago. and she said we were good mates, she didn't say a thing?! ... so this is great, i felt fantastic.

just about everything i thought about us must have been totally wrong. i am stunned that i was that wrong because the signs were there and everything, she only asked me to come out with her and her girlie mates about 10 days ago.

i really don't understand.

i suppose its just another thing i'll have to take, but i am so annoyed at her for not telling me and when i work with her on thursday, it'll be interesting.

whoa! :stunned:

I didn't expect your story with this girl would continue like this!

In a beginning seemed to be a big step for her to break up with her boyfriend and now.... just seems to be the opposite. Perhaps she would have broken up with him, anyway, wether she goes out with this other guy or not.

I don't really know what to think about it and of course she could have told you that, or maybe she didn't want you to know it... :\

girls that flirt with other people (and guys for that manner) put an upset in my mind

she is dating someone and she is flirting with you at the same time

its called leading you on ...maybe she does like you, maybe she doesnt

no one can know but her

the thing she is doing though, is wrong.

She doesnt realize how sad it is making you.

Like, she makes you feel all good when you're alone with her, but then smootches her guy when he's around, and you're around.

That's sick.

I mean, let's say YOU started going out with her...(senario here)

how could you doubt then that she flirts with other guys?

I mean, if she is being unfaithful with her current boyfriend (i.e... flirting, talking dirty with you)

What makes you think she would not do the same if you two were dating?

  • Author

i know, i think after what has happened, it wasn't just me she liked in that way or maybe its just something she likes to do.

what annoys me is just she really should have told me about getting her new boyfriend because to see them kissing and find out like that was such a shock. not good for the heart.

i never expected this to happen either, she must have really liked the new assistant manager so quickly and everything has just changed, so werid cause i thought if it was going to be any other guy it would have been me.

oh well, im ok :)

she's just a little flirting vixen that will show attention to anyone that gives her some attention back.

Too many girls like that.

good news to hear that you are okay after all that.
