the difference isn't too big, well, both of the sentences fits the translation of "I love Coldplay".

Well, in this case I guess that "J'adore Coldplay" is better.

 

"J'aime Coldplay" has a meaning which could be larger, I mean, You could say 'J'aime Coldplay', thinking you just like listening to them.. nothing more...

 

But "J'adore Coldplay" makes think of sth stronger, a real admiration...
