MX/Hurts Like Heaven

Does anyone have the original version? Last year, just before the album leaked/released, I seem to remember there being a different version of HLH (pretty sure it was this song) that most posters at the time preferred, and then when it was released Chris' voice had been doctored digitally to distort the song.. does anyone know what I'm talking about (pls) and have the orginal version anywhere? I've had a quick scoot around the forum, to no avail...

Hello Coldplayers, I'm looking for the 2011 Coldplay Remix of the song Hurts Like Heaven which saw the light for a few seconds during the presentation of the show David Letterman with Coldplay. Why am I looking for it? 1st. It features a Jonny guitar solo loop which SOUNDS AMAZING! 2nd. Sounds like a different song mix we've never heard before. 3rd. Looks like Coldplay made that mix in studio. 4th. It's one of my favourite Coldplay songs, it has lots of notes and different sounds. It's one of the best over produced Coldplay songs. Hey guys, just wanted to throw a wrench in things today...the version of HLH that leaked yesterday isn't the one I heard on the album at the Austin listening party. I'm wondering if they changed it since then, or if this is an old version of the album. We won't know until next week, but apparently they played a different version on the air on the Zane Lowe show.

Hi, This might well be my first post here, although I've been reading the boards for a while. Was just wondering what the general consensus was on best downloadable live version of HLH? I do like the studio version, but it doesn't quite have the energy of the live recording. Which is a shame, because I think it's one of their very best tracks songwriting wise. Hope they'll keep this as the opener for the upcoming tour! Can't wait for Manchester! Cheers

It's been listed on AllAccess.com to be impacting radios on August 6th, a good indicator of it being the next official release from Mylo Xyloto (at least in the States) What do you guys think? I think it's a great choice for Summer and I can't wait for a music video if we get one! link

I don’t know what makes Coldplay songs so damn “remixable”. Perhaps it’s that the song wasn’t very good in the first place, so the remix is tons better…. but regardless, if you remix a Coldplay song, you’re guaranteed to get some listens. That’s what Kat Krazy has done here to Coldplay’s “Hurts Like Heaven”. I don’t mean to bang on Coldplay, I was just never a very big fan. Does anyone else agree? I always have the volume too loud when HLH starts. Maybe I just saw them perform it live too many times.

I noticed Will playing the Xylophone during the intro MX!! , never noticed before and I never saw anything about it here on the boards. So watch this perfomance of HLH at the pinkpopfestival, you can see him playing the xylophones between 0:35 and 0:43, I always thought it was pre recorded. hey everyone this is my first post ever, i'm just starting to really look at this site and see that there are sooo many gems of music and resources and people who love this band.. So my questions is, does anyone recall that teaser video that surfaced before ETIAW came out that had that clip of the crazily colored man animation? Does anyone have that or have some kind of reproduction of it? I love the idea of it during the song.
