Can i still use my electric guitar cable and amp for the A-E. Also, Can i use just regular acoustic strings, becuase i have seen acoustic electric strings at my local guitar shop and i am just about the buy a 10 pack of strings so i dont want to waste money if i can t use them. please respond asap. thxs alot in advance Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Trouble87 Posted July 2, 2006 Share Posted July 2, 2006 I would think you'd be able to use your old electric guitar cable, as long as it fits it should transmit the same type of signal. As for guitar strings, you can use regular acoustic strings and they will work fine when you plug it into your amp, BUT, I just found some acoustic/electric strings online: http://www.zzounds.com/item--DRSZAE11 they are made specifically for Acoustic/Electric they are wound up with both Nickel for electric and bronze for acoustic all the way up the string, and the sound comes out nice and clean and crisp.
