22.05.2003 SONGWRITERS OF THE YEAR Coldplay have been named Songwriters Of The Year at the 48th Ivor Novello Awards for British songwriters, composers and music publishers. It was presented by the British Academy of Composers and Songwriters in association with the Performing Right Society, in a ceremony held in London this afternoon. The IVORS is internationally respected as the premier awards to reflect the talent of British songwriters and composers and their contribution as the creative source of the music industry's prosperity.
