so I was eating, and I went into my room.

the first thing I see is water all over the floor.

then my stupid cat is almost chewing my cousin's fish, she gave it to me because she is taking a vacation.

what does my cat do? he looks at me and he hides under the bed with the fish in his mouth!!

I was freaking out

well, I managed to rescue the fish and I put it save as soon as I could.

I can see his is in a bad condition.

stupid cat! now my cds are all wet, my bed too.

I went to the vet and she said the poor fish has really little possibilites to surive!

what am I supposed to say?

I guess it's my fault, haha I left the door open for like....5 minutes.

the good thing is that he likes to jump out of the tank, so I might use that.

You took a fish to the vet? Sorry but that seems a bit.... strange.

That's probably just weird to me because I have like 50 and 1 dies and we just say "screw it".

well it's not my fish so I was trying to save him. haha

the vet gave me some stuff to see it it manages to recover

I'm pulling for the little guy.

What type of fish is it?

  • Author

a beta fish. something like this:

funny how my mom suggested getting a new one if this one dies.

Now I see why you took it to the vet, they're awesome.

I used to have them but we call them Siamese Fighting Fish, I think they're scientific name is Betta Splendens (I googled it).

Getting a new one might work, haha your mum is so rebellious, but they are quite expensive if I remember right. And, random fact, if you put 2 males in the same tank they will kill each other. :nice:

yep!! this one killed his partner!

hahaha

ouch man, now I really want this poor little fish (abel) to survive :(

hahaha I thought it was funny but I dont know, I mean for what I understand Abel has been with my cousin for a long time, like 4 months or something.

so I get the feeling she will recognized if it's her fish or a random one.

my dad suggested it too, haha he was like "WELL GET OUT AND BUY A NEW ONE, SAME SIZE AND ALL!"

but I dont know, I might use the jumping out of the tank story on this one :uhoh:

because he has done it a few times so....it could work...

just tell the truth or buy a new bloody fish!

Everytime you tell a little white one, you end up haveing to back it up. It's probably better to be honest and then offer to replace him...if you have to. Here's hoping he pulls through! Your cousin'll be upset, but you're family. I'm sure she'll forgive you!!

go buy a new fish and don't utter a word about what REALLY happened.

I would tell her exactly what happened....... it's just a fish. she's probably not going to get mad or cry over it if it dies.......

stupid gregori :( we knew he was an assassin from the beginning though

What is it with cats and fighter fish anyway?

When I was in school one of the teachers had one as a class pet. He took it home over Christmas break and his landlady's cat ate it. I liked that fish.

If it was me, I would tell the truth about what happened and aplologise, offering to replace the fish. The friend might be really upset, but at least the fact that you took it to the vet will prove something. Not many people would do that for a fish! But that's me.

well, yeah I think it's best to tell her what happened.

but the fish can still survive.

so we will see.

Yeah, here's hoping. Cat bites are actually poisonous to small creatures- they can kill something that's been bitten hours later, but if the vet gave you antibiotics, it should take care of that.

Good luck, fish!

drea; haha i'm a wimp :uhoh2:

i'd lie. :P

but that's just me

poor fishhyyyy

i hope it gets better!

eric; hey... i cried over my nemo fish when i found it dead.

mainly because i had 2

and they don't float to the top

they sink to the bottom... and they look like they're sleeping... and looking at a 'sleeping' fish when they don't sleep... freaked me out and i screamed, ran to the other room, started crying and refused to touch it or go near it.

mum thought i was insannnnnnneeeee :dizzy2:

but i guess she had reason to... :disappointed:

aww poor bonita :(

when I was about to pick up the poor little fishy I didnt even think about it, but now Im like "EW, I TOUCHED A FISH!" :laugh3:

well, about telling her, yeah I think lying would be so much easier, just because I feel so bad about it :disappointed: I m just hoping it will be all good

I am trying to see if it's still alive every five minutes :uhoh:

oh, this is soooo bad

yeah i dunno just she might lose your trust a bit after all... i don't want to encourage lying... but at the end of the day... it's easier in this situation. it's not like a deadly lie or anything...

hahaha yeah it's like EWWWW YUCKK THE FISHH ewww hahah

but i hope it gets better!

tell the truth. if your friend is a true friend, he/she will understand.

I am almost certain your friend isn't like, in LOVE with the fishy anyway... I do hope it gets better.

Keep ust posted...this is an interesting one indeed.

'I've got my secrets, you've only got the sleeping...fish???'

Hope he makes it!!

Good luck little fishy! I'm rootin for the little guy too. :nice:

I'm all for the 'tell the truth' plan of action, as well. Lies have a habit of multiplying very quickly...

Your story reminds me of a similar incident that happened to me...

Many, many summers ago, I had to fishsit (??) my neighbors goldfish.....and it was SO hot, they all died (I think the last one died of loneliness). I was like 6-7 at the time I think. Naturally I felt very bad about the whole thing and I had a fish funeral in my backyard. :shy: Thank goodness, I don't think the neighbors were too upset. Hopefully your cousin will be forgiving as well!

the little fish is still swimming

:D

he doesn't have like, holes in em, does he? (from the cat) :uhoh: because those are evidence...
