My friend has an gibson SG and i my thinline feels and play smoothere then his one. So better guitar then thinline must be a vintage one.

Also no freakin duh theres allways a better guitar... same with amps and effects that part of playing. And no theres not alot of guitars that sound worse then squires.
August 31, 200619 yr Author i have no doubts that you haven't played a squier THINLINE, you dumb shit, go read the reviews....guitar players for 20 YEARS and sometimes more have raved about it....you're so wrong you have no clue, just like you were wrong sayin cpones tabs are all wrong, you dumb shit, what are you 14 and wanna be the next blink 182 outta cali???
August 31, 200619 yr All the Squiers have rave reviews... well... from what I've read. And calling people dumb shits is a bit immature. As with a lot of this thread.
August 31, 200619 yr wow... thats what everyone has been trying to tell you lol. Also no freakin duh theres allways a better guitar... same with amps and effects that part of playing. And no theres not alot of guitars that sound worse then squires. there are alot guitars that sound more crap then squier , like Stagg , washburn , cort in that price category. and again squier is no crap !!!!! towards the standard series offcourse
January 7, 200719 yr JUST STOP! Something which sounds good in one ear, sounds bad in an ohers´s. I believe that the Squier models sounds nice in it's priceclass. I think that you don't get anything better for $260, but that is what I think. I own one Squier Tele and like it much more then my Epiphone LP Std. Even if the paper says that the LP Std is better with its pickups, tonecontrolls etc. I dont't care about that :D, so I play my Squier Tele and it's just so much better for me. Squier is not the shit. Only if you compare with real stuffs such as Gibsons and real Fenders. And for you who´s got a nice economy, stop bragging with your experiences with nice guitars many of us never even tried. And don't make us dumb cause' you think we are dumb idiots cause' we think our Budgetguitars is great.
February 9, 200719 yr I made a post on the first page about getting a thinline tele. Well, i did, but it's not a real thinline. I need to tinker with it more to see if it can fully achieve a coldplay sound, but I think it plays better than a real Fender Thinline. What do you guys think? It's a Carvin from the custom shop. Edit - I forgot to mention, that with the acoustic bridge/electonics on it, I can go from johnny's electric parts to Chris' acoustic parts with the roll of a knob
February 10, 200719 yr You cannot possibly be serious... there is no way that pile of junk sounds close to a real Fender 72 Thinline Telecaster. If you are serious however, then im sorry.
February 12, 200719 yr hahaha.....pile of junk? Hate to break it to you man, but this guitar was custom made in the USA to my specs and *almost* cost double than what a fender thinline cost. Plus, I did not say it sounded better, I said it plays better! Read my post again. I refrained myself from saying stuff before when this thread was more active, but you really you need to pull your head out of your a$$. I didn't know it could fit up there since your head is so big with your guitar and coldplay knowledge...oh great one. Do you even know who Carvin is? Also, how do you even know it's shitty if you never heard of it? As you mentioned, there are always better guitars out there! And you don't have a REAL thinline. They stopped making those, and put out a Re-Issue with different pickups than the originals. I do not down people in posts, but you sir, are a douchebag. To those who aren't  , and enjoy playing whatever kind of guitar you have. Here's carvin's site, if you want to look at their current line of guitars. http://www.carvin.com
February 13, 200719 yr Dont test me with your peice of carvin shit. I know all about Carvin, their a light weight make some of everything company. I used their stuff for a while when I was an FOH engineer for 8 years. If Carvin was ANY decent at all they would be a big name in guitars... oh yea wait no there not... yea they dont even compare to people like Fender or Gibson. Theres a god damn reason that anyone with some cash and some sense sticks to the same major companies. Its like those idiots who think their Ibanez is the coolest thing. Geat real. And yes I do Have an original 1973 Thinline in candy apple red along with the natural reissiue. Heres a pic for you...
February 14, 200719 yr Cool guitar! I retract my statement about you not having a real one. Also, Carvin is not as big, because they do not sell to stores. You have to get them direct. If they did, the price tag would be even higher because the store selling them would have to make a profit. Also, you are not limited on the guitar...you build it how you want. Carvin has been around a long time. Fender and Gibson are great guitars no doubt. They are just a household name, and they use that to an advantage so sell *some* of their guitars higher than what they should. I guarantee that my guitar is built better than most Fenders. Better hardware, and better wood. As for the sound, nothing sounds like a fender....and that can be a good thing, OR a bad thing. Also, I like the sound of the Thinline, just the neck was to thin, and the radius of the fretboard is too round.....Like a lot of Fenders.
February 15, 200719 yr Percisely true the big names over price their stuff becuase they can. Alot of little other companies are starting to move in though because of this. Back in the 60's for example you could get a new 59 Les Paul for 400 bucks. As for the rest of what you said... thats all the players choice so good luck with your guitars.
February 17, 200719 yr Fender and Squire are two different types. Fender has good quality components. my friend had a squire and it was pure shit. The pickups suck, the bridgew was terrible and always went out of tune. He had the worst fretboard ever, not smooth at all. if you get a nice Fender thinline tele, your doing yourself a favour, they feel great and sound great.
