We want to write a book about the coldplay experience.

So we're looking for ideas.

Well, the thread itself (the coldplay experience) proposes great ideas...

But if you have other ideas, just post them.

First, do you have any ideas where you wanna write about, You said about the coldplay experience but how do you see that. And we can post small messages in the book, from coldplay fans. Fans on this forum.

I'd like to write a book about all the effects that a coldplay song make to you, how you see your relationship with Coldplay, all what you think about them, their songs.

I've got a beginning... what I've post in the coldplay experience thread...

In my opinion, there is a "coldplay experience"...

 

I think it starts when you listen for the first time to one of their songs...

 

The music begin to knock at your mind' door... and then their music succeeds in entering you...

 

It travels in you as blood does... It's an invasion of feelings, each of them are stronger than the previous you just had...

 

When you listen to one of their songs, you can't help you to shiver...

 

And then, Coldplay starts to be an obsession... For example, when you start to sing "Square One" and then you shiver...

 

or when one of your friends calls you Coldplay... or when you dream about them, nights and days...

 

when you start to write poems, in english although you never did that before...

When you think you love Chris Martin...

When you're about to cry when you see the speed of sound vid...

 

They are everywhere in your mind, Chris' voice echoes in your head like a lullaby, and when you close your eyes, you feel like if you can see them...

 

They're in your computer, on the background, you've downloaded all the B sides you could find... that's why you've got about 7 hours of coldplay songs on your computer and your MP3...

 

They are on what you wear.... At least, you have one coldplay t shirt, and you wear the same colored rings as Chris.

 

The coldplay experience is joining the official site and one of the forum about them... ( Coldplaying.com...)

Yeah great start, and what i said.. Some pages for short messages from us, and other coldplayers

I start to work now on it

so i am Coldplay fan since i first heard their song yellow

i knew that they will be my favorite band,after trouble and dont panic it seemed to be so!

now im a really big fan,they have always something fresh,new idea! they refresh the rock music!

best rock band of this century,i cried when i was a young boy cos i thought that Chris died in the scientist!

ok... these ideas were a beginning.

for the first one, I've got mostly of the information.

 

For the second one, I've got some ideas... beside mentionning all their albums... I'll try to get the basic of their music, not the "why", but the way they do, they create the music... (dunno if it's clear enough but I know what I mean...)

 

For the third one, I've got lots of things. All what you post can be used. I'll pm each of you if I use one of your posts...

 

I've got some ideas for The fourth one.

Oh, Mike and Petra... what a nice idea you've had, to write a book about them. I know your story will be great and also that you're such a great writer, Mike :sneaky:

I hope I can help you, but I dunno how, though!

Is it going to be funny/serious?

 

Why not mention other bands as well or at least compare other bands to Coldplay.

 

If your really serious, you could try and get in contact with some coldplay people - not just the band, but the roadies and other background staff etc.

Hi Mike,

I know loads about this as I have myself started 3 books! I had their blessing to do unofficial ones and then our situation changed. Anyway, to fill you in....

You don’t need permission to write an unofficial book but I’m afraid the band won’t be giving their blessing to the project as there’s several already out there. I’ve actually already signed a contract with the band to write the official book too so publishers will probably not want to take on an unofficial book whilst that is in the pipeline.
