The "woman" in question is responsible for her appearance as a result of her "over-indulgent" lifestyle. She admitted it on a TV programme called "You Are What You Eat". It isn't a physical affliction she was born with, which would be a completely different matter.

Therefore, by putting herself in the public eye, she has to accept the consequences.

In a way, you could argue she's a product of an "over-indulgent, greedy" society.;)

All people eat what they want to and if she's comfortable about it than it's all fine. I've never seen you, Mark, but you probably have something bad in your appearance. And this woman is dressed well and... I mean, she looks so confident like she's really happy with her body. Isn't it great? Some lame people spend loads of money to look like a picture-girl and she's just happy the way she is.... It's really good for her. I guess she just doesn't care what people think, it's her life style and it's ok for her.

I obviously have nothing against fat or thin people per se. Some of the best singers, actors and comedians are "large". I loved Jon Candy (RIP), for example, and both Dawn French and Jo Brand are very funny women.

It's no different to the way jokes are made about Pete Doherty's drug problem, Wacko Jacko's face, Tom Cruise's lack of height or Dubya's stupidity. It's just having a laugh at the expense of famous people. It happens all the time in the media.
