Ten-day-old tiger cub is killed, stuffed and then sold in London for £20,000

This 10-day-old tiger cub was killed and stuffed to be sold on London's thriving black market for £20,000.

It was so young when seized by poachers that it would have been unable to open its eyes.

The cub stares out from its plinth after work by a taxidermist. It was one of two stuffed tiger cubs seized by police from dealer Robert Sclare who ran a taxidermy shop in Islington called Get Stuffed. Sclare was jailed for six months.

The cubs were part of a haul of 65 stuffed animals found at the shop including a wolf, gorilla and a chimpanzee. The cub was put on show today by a Scotland Yard unit tackling wildlife crime.

The illegal trade, which as well as animals includes the sale of ivory goods and even clothes made from skins, is booming in London and is being blamed for putting a series of endangered species, including polar bears, rhino, elephants, turtles and Tibetan antelope, further in peril.

Yes - sickening' date=' isn't it?!:([/quote']

I used to be a member of PETA, but I thought some of their methods were over the top...now I'm thinking of re-joining!

omg :( this is horrific stuff. completely distressing :veryangry: humans are the worst connection to animals. and 6 months? that's it?! i waited longer for the cp concert. i hope people like that get what's coming to them, in this life or the next because justice is never served, esp with punishments like that for such crimes.

So killing a innocent tiger cub is sick, yet killing an innocent human being is not? Who is the sick one again?:dozey:

in this instance, how can you not? i'll be the first person to choose animals over humans and not flinch when saying here because this thread is about animal cruelty, not abortion.
