Party loving starlet Lindsay Lohan has admitted she has a drink problem and is attending Alcoholics Anonymous meetings.

The 20-year-old actress was criticised by a movie boss this year for failing to turn up on set after all-night revelling.

Now publicist Leslie Sloane has revealed the Mean Girls star has turned to AA in Los Angeles, adding: "She's been attending some meetings and it's going to be a slow process. This is a positive."

And mother Dina Lohan said: "A lot of people she hangs out with go and it's a positive thing.

"When you're 20 you have to learn a lot on your own.

"I'm there for support. But she's fine. She's very smart."

Lindsay, who shot to fame as an 11-year-old in Disney movie The Parent Trap, has admitted her problem amid fears that her partying is out of control.

In July, studio chief James Robinson accused her of being 'discourteous, irresponsible and unprofessional' during the filming of a movie, Georgia Rule.

He blamed 'all-night heavy partying' for absences from the set that her spokeswoman said were due to illness.

Saw a few recent pics of her..she is killing herself!!

She's kind of stupid really. I mean generally
