At least that thread gets a lot of posts. And i see no problem to talk about something a lot of people loved to do when they were young. And no one forces you to go read those threads if you hate them SO much. You can clearly see that the lego thread is about legos just from the title of the thread "LEGO". So you should be able to avoid all the threads you find boring. All the others do it as well.

That's exactly the point I was making. I'm not the one going around slagging off other people's threads just because I don't like them. But creating a thread about lego is no better or worse than anything else.;)
