^Why did you hate french? (innocent question, no will to fight)

I think this question was for me...

well, even though I always had good grades at french I found classes, and the language really boring... while I had fun learning english...

now that I speak it everyday, I actually enjoy it... I quite like it... ;) 2 deays ago a french guy told me I had a swiss accent... funny somehow...

A swiss accent? :laugh3:

haha! there's the belgian accent, the swiss accent, the south french accent...

Depending from where you are in France, the accent is different...

I guess it's the same with other languages... isn't it?

yeahhh... accent vaudois (I live in the region of Vaud)...

my favourite accent is from Marseille...

ah! L'accent du sud!

It makes me think of sun and relaxing stuff..; and sea of course!

hehe it's exactly the same with me....I don't really like french classes....I mean the language sounds nice and stuff but somehow it is boring to learn it.....at the same time I really love my english classes....I find it so very interesting and fun to speak english....so sometimes I wonder if I love learning languages in general or if it is only because of english....hehe it's quite hard to decide if there is one language you don't like...and one you love...

My cousins who live in Italy used to live in Belgium first, then moved to France and eventually to Italy with their dad. It's really awesome for them, because they speak dutch with us, family, they speak french with eachother, because that's the language they learned when they were like 4-10 years old. Now they both speak italian fluently, dutch not that fluently but really good enough to make themself clear, and perfect french.

I envy them so much!

And then the rest of my family all speaks french and dutch ... all of them except me, my brother and my sister, because my parents wouldn't raise us speaking two languages.

My french is good enough now though.

I've always been fluent in two languages :smug:, and I'm getting some German lessons from Jules :shy:
