Yes, I believe in god.

I don't know why everyone thinks this thread is useless. It's asking a very important question that many people would like to know. Many people don't believe in God because of evolution. I can see that, yet I don't see why God couldn't have made the world the way it is appearing to have already been billions of years old. The world would be so much different if it didn't appear that way. We wouldn't have fossil fuels, we wouldn't have much starlight, there wouldn't be mountains, etc etc. I believe in the literal interpretation of Genesis because it only makes sense that way to me. It also only makes sense to me that science is real. And history proves many facts in the bible, even certain things that would be impossible without God, especially Jesus' resurrection which is the most important fact in my belief as I think it should be for everyone.

well, it's complicated - although I'm not really "religious" at all (you can hardly find me in a church on christmas, and that's it), I do believe in God. but that's all personal and goes back to my own experience. concerning this topic I don't really care if people have a different opinion, but I don't like it if they try to be funny and end up being rude, because they can easily hurt other people's feelings. :rolleyes:

people saying "this is a useless topic" is precisely what is wrong with society..why when it comes to religion it's always taboo to talk about?? it's one of the only areas that gets a free pass when people talk...if anything i think the topic should be scrutinized everyday, seeing as to how it effects the way people think and act towards OTHER people

I don't know why many people don't like to talk about religions or the God because it's well hurts some people (and I don't know how) or it useless to talk about it. In spite of what happening these days and the past days and also the coming days happening by the name of God. I will make it more cleare.

First, Religion isn't in my life at all. I don't believe in God, or in any other 'superior' person.

This may be stupid, but I need prooves of what I believe in.

 

I'm aware that there are things we can't explain. And I accept this, without trying to explain those things by giving a cause which is absolutely invisble.

 

And No one else controls my life.

 

Did you notice how the human being charges 'God' or whoever with his mistakes, with what happens to him?

If we did mistakes, we can only charge ourselves with them. 'God' or whoever doesn't have something to do with that...

I think that our 'destiny' is made by our decisions, and no one else makes those decisions for us. We're human and we do mistakes, we're human and free, free to act, free to believe, and free to decide...

So, in my opinion our destiny isn't written at all, and God doesn't write the book of our lives.

Also, isn't it lovely when you hint the idea of evolution or the big bang theory to a Christian, they suggest that "Well, how could a world just be there" or "Who was the one that made the earth appear?" or anything along the lines of that, and they are asked "Well how did God get there to make the universe, and the heavens?" and "He just was" is an exceptable answer.

does love exist? are there any (straightforward) proofs? but if you think about it, you can find them: why parents are waiting in front of their child when they're sick? why do you want to be with your girl/boyfriend all the time? why do you sacrifice something good for you when it hurts a close friend of you?

 

what can be a (straightforward) proof of existence of god? what are we looking for? a miracle, like a prophet comes and says moon will break into two pieces in the sky, and in a few minutes it really breaks up? i'm pretty sure it wouldn't help too.because there were/are/will always some people who "does not" want to believe. they will say "this man is cursed, he is a liar, he is a magician" etc. and without searching (possible) proofs of something, to wait for a "miracle" is nonsense,in my opinion.

No, the religion in your life (don't understand it with the ordinary meaning). From the country flag I see you live in France, did you know how risen the French Revolution? the Jews (I don't talking about political or race issue here, just historical issue) by secret orgnization called Illumanti and don't forget the Reign of Terror (there aren't any patriot revolution do this). All that happened for a religious reason. I think you now see how the religion affect in your life, even if you don't know that.

 

If you need a proves to believe in God (there are many proves for that) just look into yourself, see how this miracle machine working (who made it?) look to this big Universe (who created it?)

 

The farmers plant different plants (fruits and vegetables ......etc) but all of them giving these different plants the same water (can you tell me who gave all these tastes for these plants?). Just one can make this ( GOD )
