The British Invasion Of 2007

Featured Replies

MEMPHIS, TN. (Top40 Charts/ Visible Media Group) - The 1960's were a decade that supplied America with the greatest rock-n-roll legends. During that time, the United States experienced a saturation of musical talent from the United Kingdom. The biggest of this British Invasion was the Beatles whose music has gone on to lay the foundation and influence many of the bands we listen to today. Over the past few years, the United States has seen a resurgence of British music. Bands like Franz Ferdinand, Radiohead, Coldplay and Muse have crossed the Atlantic and gained a large following of fans, and the popularity of British bands is growing. There's a new British Invasion in 2007.

CAYERIO, the Memphis-based rock/hip-hop band, heads out this spring on tour with top Christian British band SUPERHERO on their first U.S tour. SUPERHERO, whose sound has been described to be a mix of Coldplay, Keane, and Snow Patrol, follows in the footsteps of many British rock legends. Over the past few years, they have polished their skills touring the biggest festivals across Europe, and are crossing the Atlantic this April to start a three-month tour in the United States.

The HEROES OF THE REVOLUTION TOUR will cover east coast to west coast and everything in between, hitting 40+ cities with more dates being added daily. 'The purpose of the tour is to introduce a radical change within our cultural society here in the United States. Today, so many people are crying out for real hope, genuine peace, authentic joy, and a faith in something real,' says VISIBLE Media Group rep Ben Haag, 'SUPERHERO and CAYERIO are dedicated to reaching the youth in the U.S. during the next few months, and their drive is to deliver a message of this hope, peace, joy, and faith.'

Corey Sanders, front man for CAYERIO stated, 'I'm motivated to create music that's not only spiritually fulfilling, but also socially and culturally beneficial to people as a whole. The message is an aggressive lyrical communication to popular culture. We are effectively addressing issues with truth, providing an alternative to the highly perpetuated messages of crime, money and sex. The music serves as a remedy to those who are inundated with the redundancy and lack of substance seen in both rock and hip-hop culture.'

The British Invasion of the 60's brought a revolution that changed the way we hear music today. The HEROES OF THE REVOLUTION brings an invasion that will change lives. For more information contact Heather Flynn at [email protected] or call 901.292.9579.

I mean, I looove Muse, thats why I want them to be a small band over here, So the better the shows will be. I love small crowds.

And, Them being less popular over here, increases my chances of getting good tix, and meeting them.

Yeah, and it also makes them desperate enough trying to break through here that they go and do silly things.... Like opening for My Chemical Romance when they ought to be headlining and staying away from the emo crowd.

Yeah the british invasion! Over here as well!
