'Aerosmith' to rock Bangalore

 

The 'Bad Boys from Boston' would be in Bangalore as part of their ''Greatest Hits 2007 World Tour'' and the event is being organised by Royal Challenge in partnership with DNA Networks.

 

It would be rocking time again in the city when music lovers congregate at the Palace Grounds on June 2 to witness the concert by Aerosmith, 'the greatest band in the history of rock and roll'. The 'Bad Boys from Boston' would be in Bangalore as part of their ''Greatest Hits 2007 World Tour'' and the event is being organised by Royal Challenge in partnership with DNA Networks.

 

In their first ever concert in India, the group would be in non stop action for the two-hour-long concert, a release said. The tickets have been priced at Rs 1,800 and Rs 1,200 with fans having multiple options to purchase tickets. The legendary Steven Tyler, Joe Perry, Brad Whitford, Tom Hamilton and Joey Kramer would perform some of the best compositions from the band's 33 year history, including Looks Like a Lady, Livin' on the edge, Walk this Way, Sweet Emotion, Falling in Love, I Don't want to miss a thing, Crazy, Angel, Dream On and Janie got a gun.''

 

Founded in 1973, 'Aerosmith' had been performing as the original line up for the past 34 years. The group's musical evolution over the years had made them major innovators in American hard rock, pop, glam, blues and rap. The India concert is part of Aerosmith's 2007 World Tour. Kicked off on April 12 in Sao Paulo, Brazil. Apart from India, the band would also perform in United Arab Emirates for the first time ever.

Aerosmith to record 'old-school' new album in 2011

 

Drummer Joey Kramer reveals, 'My brothers and I are destined to make another record'

 

Aerosmith are going to record an "old-school" new album next year. In an interview with SpinnerMusic.co.uk, drummer Joey Kramer revealed that they are "going to do it the old way".

 

"Yeah, we're going to make an album," he said. "That would be very special. I would like to see a record within a year from the Aerosmith boys. My brothers and I are destined to make another record in the next year or so."

 

"It's going to be an old-school Aerosmith record," he continued. "We're going to do it the old way with the whole band [in the same room] and it should be a good one. We're all anticipating."

 

Despite a turbulent recent past, which has included crisis talks to save the band from splitting, Kramer admits that the only thing that will stop them continuing as a group is if one of them dies. One of the things that's great about being in this band is that I never know what's going to happen next," he explained. "What you see in the mirror, is that really what you're going to get or not?"

 

He added: "Really, at this point in time, the only thing that's going to stop us is if someone out-and-out dies. Other than that, we've already been through what we've been through and stood the test of time. What else is there?"
