going out

Featured Replies

how often do you usually go out, as in going to clubs or bars or sth. and where do you usually go?

i just started going to uni and loads of students go out all the time. like four times a week or something. i've got no idea how they can actually afford it because most of them dont really work. i do enjoy going out but i hardly ever do it during the week because theres no point in going to uni AT ALL if you're unable to follow the lecture. so i'd rather stay at home if i got home at three in the morning the day before. i've gone out on a thursday quite a few times though because its a really good night out and drinks are far cheaper than on saturday. plus i dont wanna miss match of the day haha

anyway i was wondering whether its a british thing or if students in other countries are the same. because most of my friends in switzerland only tend to go out twice a week.

Hm, there's probably no point for me to answer the question just 'cause i'm too young to even get into bars or anything

But anyway..we do have parties with my friends from time to time and some people at my age go out like crazy, only during weekends though..but they get so wasted and it's mostly just ridiculous, mwah.

But i don't think i'd go out more than once or twice a week even if i had the chance. I'm more a "stay home" person.

But we'll see what happens next year :nice: I can't promise anything, haha.

Well you have to bear in mind that for the vast majority of British students, going to uni is all about partying, not studying!!:P

Im going out almost every saturday. After a week full of studying and working i'd love to go out. And sometimes i dont have the money either...but friends have  The music isnt really good, but after some beer i dont mind.

But i rather go to concerts of course :)

Well - it's either from their student loans, or "mummy and daddy"!!

i clearly should introduce them to eastenders and coronation street then :P

I don't go out every week... I like to spent my time at home or just doing anything with my friends... I'd rather to be at a concert or at a soccer game

Im sometimes home on saturday evening..but mostly im really bored then.

Only if you intend to turn them into mindless zombies!!:P

Me too. In fact, I was at a concert last Wednesday (Travis), a FOOTBALL match on Saturday (Arsenal-Bolton), and I'll be at another FOOTBALL match this Saturday.:smug:

I always think I want to go out, then I get out, and I want to go home and read.

I'm going to see Travis-The Killers and Starsailor in 2 weeks and in a month I'm going to watch a football game of Chile  in the world cup qualifiers

You know, that's been happening to me lately. I go out and when I'm out I suddenly think - ahhhhhh I would rather be home and getting some rest or something else instead of hearing all these people talking. Be quiet! or something similar comes to mind. I think it's because I'm tired..boo

yeah what is with that..

i get ready to go out and then im out, but soon im tired and just rather be at home relaxing...could be that i want a break from classes in a more relaxing way than constantly being with people
