How do I deal with this?

Featured Replies

I know this is a stupid place to come and pour out your hearts contents but...

Today, my best friend and I, had a huge falling out.

There was no screaming, just whispering and angry glances.

Her name is Beatrix, I named my username (huh) after her. We are best friends. Over the week she has been hanging out with someone named Michelle, who has a reputation of stealing friends (although, you eventually regain your friends, but that is usually 2 years later).

Anyway things happened and I don't know whether to hate Beatrix or to try and be her friend or ignore her or forget everything. We always to thing together and everyone else in my class has a best friend.

I'm lost, any advice?

If she doesn't come back, I recommend changing your username.;)

Much better!!:P

if you start "hating" your friend, you'll only be letting that other girl have her that much easier.

i've had falling-outs with so many great friends, and i don't recommend ending your friendship unless you were unhappy with the relationship before this other girl came along.

if your feel your friend is pulling away from you, just act like yourself, be yourself, act like you normally would, don't go hating her, it just makes yourself feel bad, and just creates more problems. If she still wants to be your bestie she'll come back to you. Write her an email, or try talk to her about it, try get some communication happening, giving silent treatment will make you feel left out, and leave you wondering whats going on. Give all that a try, because it worked for me before.

I was actually thinking right after I posted this thread, why don't I giver her a call?

I did in the end and everything is fine;), she is coming over tomorrow for Horse Races Night at the Aeroclub.Speaking of which, I have to organise music for that (Yes, Coldplay is on the playlist:dozey:)

Thankyou yellowtalk:) and putainfromage:), you helped heaps. This has happened before and I didn't really know what to do! I think I will just put it behind me and get on with things.:)

Oh and mc_sqaured, although Emma-Coldplay is a far cooler name, I'm keeping Emma-Beatrice:laugh3:

no problem, nothing like helping a fellow aussie!

:)....you know, yellowtalk, you still have my vote as Best Newcomer of 2007

I think the best thing is just to be patient. And to be kind to her even if she's being mean. In the end you won't regret anything if you are that way. And if things work out you will be really happy. If things don't work out it won't be your fault.

so how are things going now?

I think she forgot us. waah

:baby:??
