David cruises in for a night with Tom and Katie, but where's Posh?

She's rarely one to miss an opportunity to pose on a red carpet, but Victoria Beckham left husband David flying solo at the premiere of Lions for Lambs in LA.

The football star wasn't alone for long though - he quickly met up with his close friend and the film's leading star Tom Cruise and wife Katie Holmes.

 

Perhaps Posh was too exhausted to attend the Hollywood affair - she has been on a publicity blitz in the US ahead of the Spice Girl reunion, appearing on a host of radio and television programs in the last week.

During one of her many interviews, Victoria revealed that David's Obsessive Compulsive Disorder drives him to vacuum clean in straight lines, and he certainly lived up to his reputation as a domestic god last night in a checked shirt and knit cardigan.

The LA Galaxy player, whose famous locks appear to be thinning, made time to sign autographs for eager fans and later chatted with esteemed actress Meryl Streep.

 

Tom also worked the crowd, while Katie dazzled in a black Grecian style one shoulder dress.

David recently gushed about his friendship with the Hollywood power couple Tom and Katie, telling Arena magazine: "They are amazing people who are just so positive about life and they have been great to us."

 

He also said they haven't made efforts to recruit him to Scientology.

 

He said: "We respect their religion. We respect everything they do and believe in.

 

 

"But they have never turned around to us and said, 'You have to be a part of this', because that's not what they're about. It's never been about that."

Tom continued the mutual appreciation during a recent interview, saying: "The guy works so hard – I know personally how dedicated this guy is, and how committed."

He concluded: "I know what a competitor he is and I have great admiration for him as an athlete, as a father, and as a husband."
