NEW songs announced(?)

Featured Replies

In the past day (I think) there's been 5 new Coldplay songs announced on wikipedia:

1. Snow Covered Window

2. Sleeping On The Minefield

3. Double Sunset

4. Forward In Time

5. The Let Out Cry

If you ask me, I'd say their hoaxes, but looking at the theme of the album (sort of war theme) a few of these are believable like "Sleeping On The Minefield", "The Let Out Cry" and (possibly) "Forward In Time".

(I don't know how long exactly these titles have been up, or if any one else has noticed them yet)

did wikipedia say where they got them from

No drug references, can't be true.

Apparently there's a leak but my thread was deleted...

These seem a little more "normal" than the other ones

Hey all =)

Considering that so many 'new' song titles have been released suddenly all at the same time, I tend to think we should take this as a pinch of salt for various reasons:

1- It may dwell too far from the intended 42 minute aim that Coldplay intended to set for this album.

2- We don't know who is posting these titles/ Where they are coming from.

However, there's some possibility of it becoming true because Prospekt stated that there were to be 2 other songs released Independently.. So..

I didn't see 'Sleeping on a minefield' earlier that day and I have to admit that title sounds rather creative and catchy.

No, so it could just be a hoax

"Double Sunset" sounds like it's pulled straight from Pink Floyd's "Two Suns In The Sunset" from The Final Cut. As for the other titles, they all seem in form with the weird, dramatic, slightly cheesy titles that have already been posted, but I doubt that they are real. I can easily imagine a Wikipedia member experimenting with how many people he can fool, and if Prospekt were to post new titles, the last source he would choose is something as indetermniable as Wikipedia.

I'm sure we can figure out who first added them to the list through Wikipedia's history, but that would be a little complicated.

Well, after poking around, it seems that this is definitely a hoax.

Heres what I found this user had added to the Coldplay LP4 page on wikipedia

"Sleeping On The Minefield" (Unconfirmed)

"Snow Covered Window" (Unconfirmed)

"Double Sunset" (Unconfirmed)

"The Let Out Cry" (Unconfirmed)

"Forward In Time" (Unconfirmed)

Released March 25, 2008

14 album demos were leaked online at http://www.itsleaked.blogspot.com on Nov 28, 2007.

I cant find a single thing on that website execpt for the main page that it shows :p ! So a hoax for sure, but I do think that the "Sleeping On The Minefield" sounds like a possible track name for the new album, it kind of fits with what people think the album will be like. Anyways can't wait till the new album comes out !!

The only one that looks genuine, and 'Coldplay-esque' is 'Sleeping On The Minefiled'. I'm not sure about 'Forward In Time', maybe that might be just a hoax.

And since they already scrapped a song called 'Mining On The Moon' maybe 'Sleeping On The Minefield' is a reworked version of that song...
