I'd rather have a tarantula lay eggs in my ear than listen to Arcade Fire.

I don't know if I've understood well but

is it true that they have maybe the best song of the album " Life in technicolours" and took off lyrics because the song was too perfect ? :o

CHRIS IS A IDIOT it seem like he is purposely trying to make a crappy album!! :veryangry2: put the lyrics in the song !!!:veryangry2:

I agree with you Ness. This is not coldplay. This is other band....so far :) but I have still hope ....

Don't worry guys, it's possible Chris will sing the lyrics at the Live performances. Or it could be released as a B-side.

Dude, don't get so upset because a band makes some changes. Alot of people would love songs like "Yellow" or "Shiver" or "The Scientist," but the truth of the matter is that Coldplay is no longer that band. I'm sure there are certain things in their sound they won't be able to shake off (i.e. Chris' voice) but I mean .... c'mon. I think it was either this album be made, or they were going to call it a day.

No offense to the other posters, but this kinda bugs me a bit. You want another parachutes album? Go buy something from Snow Patrol. If you want an album that's more looked at as a piece of "art" rather than some collection of songs, then get "Viva La Vida."

P.s. One person in a band strayed away from the regular formula they used to always do ... google "Pet Sounds" by the Beach Boys. Although this may not be as layered or complex, it definitely can be a contender for one of the greatest albums that our generation has witnessed. Perhaps this will be OUR Pet Sounds.

You sound like one of those, "Dude they made a change, a change can't be bad. They're doing something different so they couldn't possibly make a turn for the worse! Go listen to some other crappy band!"

I don't think he took off the lyrics because they were too good. i think he didn't want to risk losing the song with the lyrics
