thanks, justin!!

ahhhhh, this sounds SO FREAKING GREAT. i think after reading this i'm too excited to really be coherent and meaningful about what i think (it's also 2AM...), but i just think i might explode from excitement. and "yes" with chris's lowest singing yet?! eeeee!

and semy, never stop rambling! it makes me feel better when i go on and on and onnnnn...i mean, did you SEE my post about all the coldplay music videos yesterday?! :D

besides, your rambling always makes sense, so have at it!

I'm soooooooooooooooo excited!

I can't believe I went off them, the new stuff we've had so far is great, the little preview we had of Lost! sounds even better than Lost? and these descriptions sound amazing.

I'm sooo happy they've pulled me back in :nice: :D

"Yes: Mournful strings coil around the lowest singing register of Chris Martin’s recorded life so far..."

OOooOooohhhh sexy.

Gotta say that review makes me a little worried. Choirs, strings, ect make it sound really overblown and pretentious.

Truly great songs don't need to be drowned in choirs and tons of strings. Cemeteries of London sounds really cool though. Just afraid they might be getting a little carried away here and we'll all look back on this album in 5 years and cringe. Hopefully not though, because I really do like most of what I've heard so far.

It could be their 'Be here now' moment ;)

Yeah, that's kind of what it sounds like.

I hope they don't fall into the trap of thinking that adding a bunch of crap like choirs, strings, and weird instruments is "advancing their sound." It's not in the slightest. Mature melodies and interesting lyrics are (which I really like the lyrics I've heard so far).

"Violet Hill is a road in St John’s Wood (North-west London).”

finally!

A didgeridoo? I could SWEAR someone on here was joking about how Guy could mix it up on stage by playing that instrument. And now its come true? How many psycics do we have on this board?!

Yep. ME!:D

it is quite clear to me that the lads are reading this forum for feedback

sounds interesting, it could the best album coming from them, but now I'm just so eager about it ....

i love it when we get these little song synopsis reviews... pumps us up even more than usual.

at the risk of sounding a little slow, it's just starting to click in my head about what they meant when they said the first three albums would be a trilogy from which they want to move on... sounds like they are breaking every rule possible to avoid being predictable. i never thought they'd go as far as a didgeridoo, but i trust their judgment... admittedly though strawberring swing is still the song i'm least looking forward to (which probably means i'll like it the most since my expectations will be easiest to exceed). but 42.... every description of that song excites me more and more... now it nods to Lennon's Imagine!! WHAT DOES THAT EVEN MEAN? I don't know but i reeeeally like the sound of it.

First I gotta say I love the idea of an instrumental song. its about time Coldplay!

Also its funny cuz Chris said 42 is his fav number and perfect so he wrote a song called 42. I did the same thing with my lucky number 27. Great minds think alike I guess.

Finally, didgeridoo on Strawberry Swing? HELL YEAH BABY! One of my fav instruments.:laugh3:

sounds quite a slow and depressing album with loads of organs and what not.

i dont know about you but i wanted more songs like yellow, shiver, GPASUYF, Politik, Low and even Dont Panic. I havent got very high hopes for this album, espically after the disapointing X&Y. am i the only one who feels like this?

^ i dunno, it's supposed to sound like Arcade Fire (who are slow and depressing on paper, but really lively and cool when you actually hear them)

^I love those songs too and would really like to hear more songs wich are alike, but I'm sure they've come up with some good things. And the songs that I've heard are great. This article is promising :)

Great article, thanks. Waiting for the abum with even more anticipation! :D

maybe its just me, but ive got a feeling im going to be disapointed like X&Y all over again

It could be worse

Bitter or sweet

It could be snapped from the jaws of defeat

Like a light lit upon a beach

Wear your heart on your sleeve

i feel the same! cafc....

I'd rather have a tarantula lay eggs in my ear than listen to Arcade Fire.
