LIJ sounds a little Editor-ish

Featured Replies

From the first time I played the whole album through, once Lovers In Japan came on I had to check my player wasn't on shuffle because it sounded so much like an Editors song. Does anyone else agree? Can they hear the similarity?

There just seems to be some kind of Editor-esque feel to it, particularly the first few seconds, very much to those tracks off An End Has A Start.

Just curious if others have heard it because it's a thought I always get once LIJ starts. Either way, I love the song. In fact it's one of my favs off the album :D

I've only heard The Editor's music in passing, but their reverb-drowned style (not a derogatory term) seems similar enough to the LIJ opening.

So, yes, I think that's a totally totally valid comparison.
