and search for "coldplay" in the search engine you'll can see

that there are 2 kind of events:

"Coldplay 2008"

and

"Coldplay - Eventreise 2008"

Well, if you click on "Eventreise" you can book the ticket for the concert and also an accommodation (for example Hotel Mercure in Central Berlin) at the same time.

 

But sadly all concerts are already sold out. There's still a chance to get tickets for the German dates on http://www.ventic.de . But be careful, the prices there are very very very expensive, because it's a special vendor who only sells tickets for concerts which are already sould out.

does Eventreise not work the same way as UK packages? When they're selling the package, they would have had an allocation of tickets to enable them to do so. so even though the show is sold out, part of the reason it is sold out is because copany's like that will have bought a feww hundred/thousand tickets?

Well, I thought it would have been the same as the UK packages you described, but I think it's no longer possible to buy any tickets for the concerts even if you use "Eventreisen". If you click on it it says that all concerts are sold out. The Berlin one is still green, because you have the chance to book a second accommodation (14.09. to 15.09.) as far as I understand.

I bought my ticket half a month ago :)
