mygdalom
Tell me please what do you think about this.... is just a thought but in my opinion "The Escapist" closes a circle begun with "Life In Technicolor". In the middle of this two songs the rest of the album songs wants to explain a history, to say finally that this history is a dream, and that in the end, we lie awake and dream of making our escape. A scape to a better place. That two songs are more important than they seem (=esas dos canciones son mas importantes de lo que parecen, i said it in spanish again because I don't know if I said it correctly) I love that ending, a little bit sad but I like it a lot. Darlene_Ihnfsa
mmm it has been said already i think  interesting conclusion this one: wants to explain a history, to say finally that this history is a dream, and that in the end, we lie awake and dream of making our escape. A scape to a better place. that idea remind me of La Vida es Sueño by Calderón de la Barca. ;) specially to that part: por si alguna vez soñamos y si haremos, pues estamos en un mundo tan singular que el vivir solo es soñar y la experiencia me enseña que el hombre que vive sueña lo que es hasta el despertar (i could copy the whole part but is so long, but it also talks about kings). really i hadn't thought about that, may they've even read that book... someone should ask that to the Oracle :idea2:

I only know few parts of it, I want to read this poem :).

I only know few parts of it, I want to read this poem :). no problem, they saw some connection between the begin and the end, but that other view that you gave to it is interesting too. about La Vida Es Sueño technically is a play, in which the most important parts are the monologues of the main character... i have this book and is really interesting. sure i'll ask that to the oracle tomorrow. :) I am wondering if they've read it or something because now that i think of it i see many similarities with some parts/ideas of the play and Coldplay's album.
