I *think* that if there is a possibility of a 5th single, it will make sense that it came from the EP, and LIT ii is a perfect radio track...! (GOW too is a possibility considering that the band played it live already...)

I doubt there'll be a 5th single. Lost! is already flopping big time.

Well, Glass of Water and Life In Technicolor ii are leading the poll. For me personally I think it will be Glass of Water.

^^ totally agree Yes is amazing as strawberry swing....maybe all their songs could be released if thats posibble ..

It certainly is a good album but I'm disappointed at the reception of lost!..

I don't even think Lost! is going to have a new peak in the UK. Or at least it won't be much into the top-40. How do you go from your first #1 single to your lowest charting (full-fledged) single back to back?

 

Maybe if they put effort into a video and actually promoted the single's release. They had plenty of time before the 2nd US leg. There was no reason to release it this late, either. They really dropped the bomb on this one.

I don't think they are ever really do well promoting singles besides the initial ones. I realize Lost! was blown, but I never thought much of it anyways. If they wanted to release the song, they should have done the Jay-Z version because it would have gotten a lot of publicity. It's the same as the album, just with a killer verse by Jay-Z...it would have done well.

Well Trouble, Clocks, and Talk were all really successful...all 3rd singles. In fact, Clocks is probably their most recognizable song internationally! They all had great videos, and the public knew they were released! I'd be surprised if anyone even knows Lost! is out.

 

You're right, they could have really made some publicity with Lost+. If they just made a video with Jay-Z in it, released a two track CD single with Lost! and Lost+ and worthwhile digital, it'd be a little more successful. That EP is really a disgrace. 4 frickin' versions of the same song? Really. Now I LOOOOVVEE the live version, but Lost? isn't exactly a rarity, and Lost! and Lost+ are way too similar. So why would anyone want to buy the same song 4 times when they already have 2 of them, and the other two aren't anything special. They should've included a b-side, or some real remixes. Notice how Clocks and Talk had some dance mixes released at the same time. They got alot of club attention, too. Also, Trouble, Clocks and Talk all got live EPs! They put alot more effort in their 3rd singles in the past...Lost! was just lazy.

wasnt it available as a single like 2 or 3 weeks ago. The ep was released today not just the single itself because Lost has been on the radio for a while.

It's been available to download ever since the album came out (via Viva La Vida...this why it went to 55 in the UK and 94 in the US a few months ago), but the official single came out this week.

Lets hope Lovers in Japan single is much better. Lost still has time to catch up though....

Well Glass of Water I think is favourite, but I would absolutely adore Coldplay (somehow more) if they buck the trend and release LIT II or Strawberry Swing.

I don't really think they're going to release a song from the EP, in all honesty. Lost+ and the mix of Lovers In Japan are kinda being released as good promo for it... So don't get your hopes up quite yet.

 

They might want to have a final push for the album, though. (Thus 42 or Cemeteries)
