I need help for hair.

Featured Replies

Ok, so I just TRIED to dye my hair very light brown/dark blondish and it turned out red,

since my hair's black by nature.

:(

I don't like it.

Does anyone know a remedy for it?

Or just to make it LOOK better?

Have you considered doing a "Britney" and shaving it all off??

pfft, shaving your head was so last year

:P on a serious note.. i know loreal makes something called 'oops color remover' ..or something like that. i've never actually used it, but i've heard pretty good things about it. you could also try getting a non-permanent color (preferably an ashy tone to counteract the red) to put over it for now. you can't go lany lighter.. but maybe getting a medium ash brown would work alright. i know using a toner helps sometimes.. there's a product you can use with your dye called 'red out' i think... hmm. the best thing would probably be to go to a salon and have them fix it for you, but that'll cost some bucks :/ hope you work it out.

M.

^Or you could buy a hat, which would be much cheaper.:P

If she wanted to wear a hat, she wouldn't have dyed her hair in the first place.

OK - keep your hair on!!

^ oh my gosh. *facepalm*

Oh dear - here wig-o again!!

Haha Oh god, the best advice I've gotten so far is from girl_in_the_band_tshirt lol.

But I'm sure all of your remedies could work :laugh3:

What I'm thinking of doing is either dye my hair the same as it was (VERY dark brown) or just go to the salon this week. Even though it is pretty expensive.

It doesn't look too bad, I just don't like how red hair looks on me. But I'll work it out.

BUT, if none of those work...screw it, bring me the hell toupee!! :laugh3:

If you get a dark brown remember darkest brown is nearly black. You probably knew that, but still...

If you want it back to your original color I would recommend a salon.

The suggestion of a brown with Ash tones was good, as it does tone down the red.

Neutral browns would work too.
