fakfak
I was sure Yes was played with a Slide part as JB's lead line, but I recently saw a video where he clearly played the part without slide. How do you make the long "swooshy" runs without use of slide?

Hammer ons/offs, finger slides and a shit load of delays (more than just the DL4 can produce on its own) Its likely hes using a lot of his rack gear for that one. He probably loops some of it as well.

I know the string bits are looped, so some of the guitar lines could be as well I guess. It really does sound like slide in some bits though. Guess I need to refine my ear...;)
