I wanted to buy and photo editing software and was wondering if Photoshop is better than Paint Shop Pro Ultimate? Why do you think it is better? Please help.:)

Photoshop! I only have Photoshop Elements, but if you're seriously thinking of buying a very good editing program, go for Photoshop CS3. It's expensive, but if you're a student you can almost always get a pretty good discount.

 

Then again, if you just want something pretty decent but not fantastic, you can always download GIMP for free. It has almost all of the same features as photoshop, and it's a little complicated at first, but it's a very good program. It really depends on what kind of stuff you want to edit, though.

Get GIMP if you don't want to fork out the money for just a slightly better interface VS a program with all the same features and slightly trickier interface

Oooh, practically all of them. Even Paint.Net allows you to do that, and it's free as well. GIMP and all versions of Photoshop do too, though.
