May 2, 200917 yr Author Of the four mentioned (New Goodbye, Handshake the Gangster, Tired Eyes, Holy Shit), I deeply love New Goodbye and Handshake the Gangster in particular. But I do love all of the band's songs. Edit - How do you guys feel about There's an Arc? That song holds a very special place in my heart. Oh yeah, I like that one too. I like the whole album, tho. :sweatdrop: Like I said before, I'm really glad that you like 'em. :D

That song holds a very special place in my heart. Like I said before, I'm really glad that you like 'em. :D There's An Arc was the first song by them that really stood out to me. I find that its hard for me to have an absolute favourite song by them. I think this is a good thing, just because I like so many of them. Lately my favourites have been We Made A Pact, Tired Eyes, and Handshake the Gangster. Handshake the Gangster is absolutely unreal live. They do an extended outro where they just rock out. Very intense.
May 2, 200917 yr that sounds amazing  I love the entire album, no weak songs, no wasted tracks, everything fits perfectly but my favourites are new good bye and there's an arc
May 2, 200917 yr Author That definitely does sound incredible. I can't imagine experiencing something so amazing. Gaaaaah. I would love to hear that extended outro... There isn't even a video of it anywhere. Now I'm getting really upset because I'll probably never see them. :bigcry: And yeah, I definitely know what you mean about it being difficult to pick favorites.
May 2, 200917 yr Me neither... So I hope they become more popular so maybe they could come to Mexico someday.
May 2, 200917 yr Author I would imagine that seeing A Thousand Suns live would be a really fun experience with the crowd clapping and all.
May 2, 200917 yr yes I wish they become big and come to mexico! But then I'm afraid they get eaten by the mainstream like coldplay
May 2, 200917 yr Author Tim Baker is a really amazing lyric writer. Anyone agree? I'm afraid they get eaten by the mainstream like coldplay I do hope that Hey Rosetta! does very well in the future and that their fan base grows, but the above would be quite sad.
May 2, 200917 yr Tim Baker is a really amazing lyric writer. Anyone agree? I do hope that the band does very well in the future and that their fan base grows, but the above would be quite sad. He really is great. The lyrics all seem so passionate and full of meaning. Not just empty words.
May 2, 200917 yr Author The lyrics all seem so passionate and full of meaning. Not just empty words. Exactly. Agreed (of course).
May 2, 200917 yr Author Gaaaaah, this is really hard... Hmm. I personally am a big fan of the lyrics in Handshake the Gangster and There's an Arc. There's an Arc's lyrics may seem simple to some..I dunno..but I think that they pack a lot of emotion. I'm not sure if you've heard Tie Down the Dying since it isn't on the Plan Your Escape EP, but that one probably. I like The Simplest Thing's lyrics a lot in particular as well. What do you think?
May 3, 200917 yr hmmmmm Well I've always loved I've Been Asleep For A Long, Long Time the schools that we went to have all been closed and all of my teachers are dead i suppose the songs that we sung have all gone quiet what happens below as we sleep at night? From New Goodbye I love i've carried this preconceived false belief that secretly everybody's fooling me just acting sweet
May 3, 200917 yr Author Those are definitely awesome. Love 'em. This is a favorite of mine (from Handshake the Gangster): have i been driving? i see the lines bend but i've not been steering and i keep on veering to the right (to those blissful lies!) when did they reach me, while i was sleeping? when did they rein me? interrogate my better sense (with their fucking rent!) and all my teachers, those dusty pilgrims those plucky speakers are all just victims of a lie (that they can't deny!)
May 3, 200917 yr were you born in water, a fish so cold? were you born in autumn, as the river froze? cause you shut up and you're shut in and i know that you've got your reasons but even still, listen: honey, let your red heart show
May 3, 200917 yr Author I really like the part in Yes! Yes! Yes! when Tim finally says, "I've got this feeling I have(?) / I'll be an old man soon!"
May 3, 200917 yr ^ so good. Here are the songs of theirs I still haven't heard: (Postlude) Epitaph Red Confederates' Red Confessions Tie Down the Dying The Year You Were Born Beck, I Keep Singing This Song
May 3, 200917 yr Author ^I really love the last four of those in particular. Definitely listen to them, even if you can't get them on a physical CD and have to download mp3s or whatever. Isn't there a code that comes with the Plan Your Escape EP that lets you go to a download section of the website that has those?
May 3, 200917 yr Hmmm not sure. I bought the EP on iTunes. If thats the case I should buy a physical copy.
May 3, 200917 yr Author It would probably be the same amount of money to just buy to individual mp3s off of iTunes. :P
May 3, 200917 yr haha yeah. But its always nice to have a physical copy of stuff. It would cost $6.00 to get those songs off iTunes. The EP is $11.99 at HMV.
