mrman78
Square One Viva La Vida (I love this live with the timpani and bell!) In My Place 42 Life in Technicolor Sparks Lovers In Japan CGYOOMH @ Glastonbury was also really cool
42JTR
Wow dead thread: so let's bring it back to life:D (hopefully) Parachutes: definitely Shiver, awesome ritme tricky bass , I took me a while to completely master it. And just very fun to play. Spies is also a very good and tricky one, it's difficult to hear exactly the way he plays it. AROBTTH: there aren't much difficult ones. X&Y: Square One really nice one. Not that difficult though. The same goes for Talk and Fix You. The one that I really think is the best would be Low, there's a drum bit near the end that's really amazing. VLODAAHF: definitely 42,amazing piece of drumming. LIJ is fun to play too as well as DAAHF. MX: nothing really stands out, mostly the usual patterns (except paradise although it repeats all the time:() And then you have Glass of Water really nice piece of drumming, also I recently discovered Rainy day features some damn difficult drum parts. The winner for me is:
The Champion
Well I might not be objective but of course I love every single beat that He made. I honestly think that the best ones were in X&Y and VLV era. Yet, I have to say that he didn't do much on MX... Hurts Like Heaven is maybe not that complicated but it sounds great. But Charlie Brown and Don't Let It Break Your Heart are mostly kicks.

I totally agree although he has some really great drum parts in Parachutes(Spies,Shiver) It's like he didn't really care that much anymore on MX:( Let's hope LP6 contains a lot of Will Champion:D

Oh, I hope so. He will always remain my no1 musician. My expectations for the LP6 are far too high I think : D. I would love to hear something like Warpaint - mysterious, glomy guitar riffs with Will on the guitar also and maybe place switches just to have some fun. Some choir singing and just hm... something like making fun and creating this very deep state in the music and the songs. Playing very band-ish not just Martin-ish. Are there any songs where he plays substantially on the toms? He never seems to play tom fills, only the snare. I never noticed that about his drumming style until recently. Nothing he's done, great as it may be is especially complex by drumming standards.
