Gold Coast radio crew meet Coldplay backstage

Featured Replies

SUPER band Coldplay were in Brisbane on Monday night and the Gold Coast's SEA FM crew of Paul, Moyra and Baggsy were lucky (or respected) enough to be the only Queensland radio station to interview them backstage.

"We were there for the sound check and (lead singer) Chris Martin and Guy Berryman are the most down to earth people you could wish to meet," said Paul.

Martin said he hoped to head to the Gold Coast for downtime after the show. Keep your eyes peeled boys and girls because the cool looking dude sipping on a macchiato beside you just may be from Coldplay.

So, that's it? No radio interview?!

Anyway, nice pic! :D

I had a look around for it, but couldn't see anything :(

Anyone able to see the review? It's password protected...

I just found their site, but nothing about coldplay...... :\

and comparing it to the one posted here, their site's pic is heavely photoshopped :P

Maybe they'll add it later???

They didn't seem to have much under audio though :(

I hope so

I found that interview. :D

Coldplay to use Farnham backing band in Sydney

BRITISH supergroup Coldplay treated fans to a hot, polished performance during a sold-out, two-night stand at the Brisbane Entertainment Centre on Monday and last night as part of their Viva La Vida world tour.

Gold Coast radio crew meet super group backstage

With a dream set-list of old favourites and new material Clocks, In My Place, Yellow, Talk, God Put A Smile, Viva La Vida and Speed of Sound were all there the band cleverly shook up the style and pace of what was a consumate performance, giving fans an intimate show in a not-so-intimate venue.

In addition to the usual video screens, the band projected images from the show on to giant globes hanging from the ceiling and released paper butterflies confetti-style over the sing-along out loud crowd.

Coldplay will perform at the Sydney Sound Relief Bushfire benefit at the SCG on Saturday, where they are rumoured to be set to take the stage as John Farnham's backing band for a special rendition of his hit You're The Voice.

Frontman Chris Martin, who celebrated his 32nd birthday on March 2, has appeared to confirm the rumour by segueing from one of their songs into You're The Voice during Coldplay's Australian shows.

It tells me I need authorization. :uhoh:

I clicked on that but it says "Authorization Required" ... it asks for a username and password. :\

I went to the drop down menu under "NEWS" and then selected CoastConfidential. It's in there. Not sure why you need a password, it's not that great a review.
