He uses an awesome effect pedal and tremolo picks the two highest A notes on the guitar (17th fret on the high e, 14th fret on the g string), sliding up and down to and from the 19th fret every so often. e--17---19----17 b---x-----x-----x- g--14----6-----14 And at the end of each verse you heard this little part: b-------14s9-10--- Then he goes down an octave, and doesn't play much else until the chorus where he I believe he imitates the keyboards. the notes for the chorus are: e---------7---9--------7-------7-------9--9--0-- b---10------------10-----10------10------------ repeated until you end with ---9--9---- ----------10 But while those are the actual notes, I think Jonny plays something closer to this. e------------------------------------------------------------------------ b----10---12---14---10---12---10---12----10---14---14----5-- g-----x-----x-----x----x-----x-----x-----x-----x-----x-----x-----x-- d-----7-----9---11----7-----9----7-----9-----7----11---11----2-- I'm sure it's not exactly right, but it gives you a general idea. After watching a couple other videos I see that instead imitating the synths Jonny just plays the same tremolo picking pattern as in the intro, just an octave lower.
