PET Shop Boys have revealed they loved writing a single for Girls Aloud — because it meant they got one over on Coldplay.

The veteran duo wrote the Girls’ last single The Loving Kind and they reckon it gives them bragging rights over Chris Martin’s band.

Singer Neil Tennant told Rated: “Chris Martin goes on and on about how much he loves Girls Aloud, but that he’s not good enough to write a song for them. Well, we HAVE written a song for them. So it’s 1 - 0 to the Pets, thank you!”

I must admit I do love a bit of PSB :D

They're music themselves is alright, but The Loving Kind is awful :P

He's only joking around. Neil Tennant was front row at the War Child gig watching Coldplay so he's certainly doesn't hate them.

This is the kind of feud I like. A little playful nudging :)
