We really gotta find something to talk about!

Definitely! It's so dead in here....

..

...

.......

What is your favorite color?

This isn't directed at me, but I'm going to answer anyway: Red! Has been for all my life and always will be.

Why are we talking about favorite colors?

How the mighty chatterers of Coldplaying have fallen.

My favorite is yellow cuz it's awesome.

I have red shoes, red clothing (including a red jacket), a red cellphone, a red watch, a red backpack, etc, etc, etc...

So you like red??

I was asking everyone... :)

I am bored.

My fav colors are orange, green and blue.

Do any of you guys know anybody at school who acts totally dumb all the time and manages to have the class in stitches almost constantly despite being a one-trick-pony and not very funny? Just wondering.

I love colors! They make the world go round. Where would we be without them?

(No offense to color blind people.)

Yeah.

Yes.

Yeah it happens to me too at college and I freaking hate that dude.... even my teacher tries to ignore him!

There are lots of people who think that they're funny and make people laugh when they're actually dumb in every school...

Good to know I'm not alone in this world. I mean, this boy is sort of funny, but he isn't really -- he just has a really charismatic personality that makes everyone laugh at everything he says. And he's really stupid, not just at school, but at life.

Does anybody mind if I rant about him? (some more)

Go ahead! I love rants.

Go on we're just talking about this thread's title remember?

I won't mind... go ahead.

Still typing it?

I guess so:confused:

Okay. (This boy is named Wesley -- well really he's named Jonathan but he's one of the legions of boys who changed their name to Wesley because it sounds cooler.)

For example, we'll be having an intelligent discussion as a class about -- I don't know, government or something, then Wesley will raise his hand and ask something totally unrelated, like : "Government starts with a "G," right?" This was sort of funny the first couple of times but now it's just TIRESOME -- to me at least; everyone else seems to love him.

If a regular student is missing an assignment in math class, our teacher will ask about it; if she asks Wesley "Wesley, do you have your homework?" he will merely respond with "That's a good question!" and go rummaging around in his backpack and crack some jokes that make everyone but me laugh and then the teacher sometimes even forgets about it. Aaargh!

Unrelatedly, we had to do an English project after we were done reading The Odyssey... Wesley and some of his friends made a video version mostly involving Wesley making jokes about how strangely they speak in the Odyssey. If you're not familiar with the story, there's a sad part in it where a dog, who hasn't seen Odysseus (the main character) in twenty years and has been faithfully waiting for him, sees him, is about to go say hello, then dies. In Wesley's version he just sort of pets the dog (a plush toy labeled "DOG" for comic effect, apparently) and then moves on.

Our English teacher (the amazing one I mentioned) asked Wesley very seriously about his "decision as the director to change that scene" and Wesley started bluffing and said something like, "Well, that's, y'know, what happened in the story, so that's what we did." And the entire class chorused, "No it's not." And the smug little grin he was wearing just sort of melted gradually off his face because he kept talking and no one, especially not the teacher, was laughing. It was very tense and akward, actually. He sort of stuttered for a while and our teacher made a really large note on his little peice of paper and we moved on.

:D Epic win for our English teacher.

That was a really long pointless post. Oh well! I'm also sorry it took so long. :nice:

HA! that Wesley sounds really smart

It's okay that it was a little long. It was fun to read. :P

He does sound quite "stupid," for lack of a better term (yes, I am indeed stating the obvious). Kudos to your English teacher.
