Why would you get in trouble? Have I missed something?

Well, I didn't think I would, but at the same time, you never know.

OK, so we had somehow ended up getting texting on our phones a couple of months ago. My brothers and I thought Mom had put it there, and my brother assumed that it was unlimited texting, so we didn't think anything of it.

Well, when Mom went to pay off some phone stuff, she saw the price of the phone bill, and didn't know why it was so high. The lady told her that there was a bunch of text stuff that went down. Apparently, Mom had nothing to do with enabling text on our phones, so she got REALLY mad about it. The lady told her that someone had opened an account in her name over the Internet, and Mom got even more mad. She thought either I or one of my brothers had done it, but none of us knew anything about it.

Well, we talked about it, and after a long discussion, we concluded that someone had stolen Mom's identity and did that with the phones. We no longer have text, and thankfully, the company was nice enough to take the charges off.

So yeah. It was hectic.

This thread was never on topic in the first place, was it?

Maybe not, but I at least TRIED to put it on topic. :\
