Lovers in Japan Effects

Featured Replies

What guitar effects does Buckland use in Lovers in Japan? I've been trying to figure it out for a while, then I found this place. Here I'm sure to find my answer, after seeing all the other helpful threads.

P.S. if theres already a topic about this, sorry I didn't search in advance!

Anybody??

A long sustain and release time, probably accomplished by expensive rack gear. Delay could also be used to get something close...

Ive been messing around with my multi effect pedal and ive managed to get somewhere close

1) REVERB

2) This effect called slow walk

3) Delay

4) LOTS of delay

He's also using something that creates a Leslie (rotating speaker) effect for large parts of the song. I believe this is accomplished with his Eventide processor in his rack set up. He's also tremolo picking, which he does in a lot of his parts.
