Scandinavia?

Featured Replies

I'm going on a trip to Scandinavia this August- Berlin (Germany), Hamburg (Germany), Stockholm (Sweden), Helsinki (Finland), Copenhagen (Denmark), Tallin (Estonia), and St. Petersburg (Russia).

I don't know very much about any of these places, though, so I'd love to know what the best sites to see are.

Has anyone been to any of them or does anyone live in any of them? I want to see all of the main touristy places, but if there's any other sort of unique place that people know of, I'd love to hear about that too.

I'll be in St. Petersburg for two days, and all the other places for one.

:nice:

That's so cool.

Scandinavian climate and weather is perfect.

Although it can be too cold sometimes... :D

Wikipedia might help :P

I've been in Berlin, Stockholm, and Tallin...I haven't visited any museums, but I really liked Stockholm, the architecture there is very beautiful :)

But when you visit Stockholm you should visit Gamla Stan, I told you that before and I still think so. :)

I don't know much about those countries but I'd love to visit them some day (especially Scandinavia and Finland and Iceland)

I don't think you care but I heard the blueberries in Scandinavia are better than anywhere else and taste like amazing :uhoh:

why not see if your local library has any copies of the following Rough Guide/Lonely Planet books - Europe, Scandinavia, Germany, Russia, St Petersburg. They'd give you some starting points

Stockholm is a beautiful city, and as parachutes_ said, you really should visit Gamla Stan (Old Town) when you're there. The weather in August should be very warm, if the weather's good, maybe up to 86 degrees farenheit.

I like blueberries :nice:

I've always wanted to go visit Denmark and Sweden. This Summer I so desperately want to, hopefully I can. :)

I'm bringing 3 cameras, a memory card that can hold 2,000 pictures, and 8 rolls of film. I will!
