sad people

Featured Replies

Ok, I just had a really strange walk home with my flat mate some minutes ago...

we were walking next to each other and he was obviously really sad the whole evening (I met with some friends including him)....we didn't say anything just looked straight forward and I had the feeling that he was almost crying...it was so strange...I didn't know what to do...usually people ask "what's wrong" or "how are you?",don't they? I just couldn't...I can't ask these question, I'm such a loser in this. I thought I would be too curious...but probably my flat-mate wouldn't have minded to talk about what's wrong...so after all he asked me how I am and we talked about me...when we were saying nothing I wanted to put my hand on his shoulder at least...just to show him that I care...but I didn't dare doing this...everything was so strange.:\

so, I wonder if I am the only one who can't handle this...? (my best-friend for example asked him what was wrong and he told her...)

I had the feeling that I couldn't help him anyways, so asking him would only have been curiousity...but he didn't know that...

ahhhhh I don't know how to feel about that...probably this is why only my best-friend tells me about her problems...because i never ask other how they are, so they think I do not seem to care...great..:dozey:

this thread is probably mega useless, but I have to put my mind in an order...

this is so stupid, but it made me feel even more alone..

You are not the only one...

Sometimes i feel like im a heartlless person... i just cant say somthing usefull in those situations... :\

I usually don't know how to act when somebody's sad or upset, so it looks like I don't care...

I had the feeling that I either appear like a heartless or a loser person who doesn't know how to act...

sometimes you should not to say anything, you should not ask just be there.

well, actually he said I should go away indirectly to me....I was with my bike and he said I can ride home if I want to ....I was just like " Holy no...why should I do that? I won't let you go home alone...I even won't say a word if you want that..." he only replied: "Not saying a word that so much fits in my situation..."....but I didn't ask further....obviously he just wanted to be alone and not talk about it...so maybe I acted the right way...

absolutely but remember that, sometimes people says "i want to be alone" but it is not totaly true it means not say a word just be with me. (i am the person like this =)

=) i know it is complicated but it is truth .

I think in this situation, what people must do is not to think too far ahead of what they must do... It's good not to worry about the entire situation... I don't know.... It's hard to go back and try again, but it's easy to fix trying too hard... maybe.....

what do you mean?

True

what do you mean?

once you have gone up to someone and said "how are you?" it's much easier to back away than it is to ignore someone and then try to make a difference for them later...

Let's talk about happy people, huh?

Let's talk about happy people, huh?

are you running like others

some boys do not want to talk about unhappines, truths, they do not want to explain themselves are you one of them?

or just nevermind

 The answer is no.

It's always awkward in a situation like that, even if you're really close with the person or they're you're best friend. The best thing to do is usually just to put an arm around them or hug them silently. Words aren't always the best, I think. :nice:
