Well I support many of Glen Beck's "radical" libertarian views. You better talk to me.

You're kidding me right? Glenn Beck! Ah, yes there is no right wing bias to his unimformed craziness. If all you listen to is Glenn Beck, no wonder your viewpoints are warped. Try thinking outside of the box or keep drinking that kool-aid, that fresh and delicious right wing bull crap about how the world's going to end under Obama and how socialized medicine will bring about the end of the world as we know it. By the way...check out this crap that Glenn Beck said a few years ago. He's a real a**hole.

Hey! Its been a long time my debate buddy.

I actually think Beck doesn't like Neo-cons like Bush. He attacks a lot of Republicans for being big spenders or corruption.

Hes the most libertarian on TV, but he still has his faults, he's a little too social conservative but economically speaking he's good. He points out waste and corruption on both sides. Now if he would just change his mind on social issue's he'd be a lot better.

Taxing only the top 5% is moronic.

The top 5% are the ones who are actually well-off enough to leave.

I'm a STRONG proponent of leaving America if you're young. I don't understand why anyone under 30 would stick around when you know you're going to be taxed for the rest of your life and not get a penny back - Social Security will be depleted in 15 years anyway.

You have to be an absolute sucker to stay in America. It's happening right before your very eyes.

I'm a social conservative but I don't believe there should be laws forcing people to be socially conservative. So I guess politically speaking I'm socially liberal.

I just think that Glenn Beck is a blowhard for a dying REPUBLICAN party. You can say he is a libertarian but please, the vast majority of his listeners LOVED the republican regime of Bush the second.

Glad you are still on here Nick:-)

Beck just gives my the creeps. I've been hearing his whining for almost a decade. I think his views are dangerous. I just do not like him is all. But hey everyone is entitled to think what they want.

But more and more of those "hardcore republicans" are seeing what Bush really was, partially thanks to Beck and Ron Paul who call out their own party for the BS they commit.

Well thats because you're quite liberal, but as a libertarian now, I can tell you there is a big difference between Beck and someone like Sean Hannity.( I can't stand that prick)

I think its you disagree with what he says and what Bush and those type of people say, but don't lump them in the same group, they're different.

Good point Jay, I must say.

<3 I completely agree with that, and that's WHY I'm a libertarian. People have the right to think and say whatever they want, regardless of what government says.

I guess you have a point Nick. It's just that Beck so eagerly sang Bush's praises all througout his 8 years and called Americans traitors if they were against the Iraq war etc...

right on.

I don't have enoug time to stay on-line for long tonight. hope to debate more on Sunday afternoon. Hopefully you all will be around then. See Ya!!

How would you characterize Glenn Beck? Also how old are you?

Did your parents tell you to listen to the savior of the world, Glenn Beck.

I don't care what you say to me. But I'm only dignifying your idiocy with a response, because of other people who might be curious to hear, and who comprehend reality better than you do.

Glenn Beck is definitely a libertarian, or a constitutionalist. Yes he is right wing, in the sense that the right represents freedoms, but not in the sense that it is republican. I don't believe everything he says, because he says it. I believe what he says, because he backs it up, and then I do my own investigating. I need a starting point for my investigations, and he is a good one, because he has time and resources that the average person does not have. If you think that you are informed by watching CNN or reading some books, you are right, but you will never have the entire picture. Believe me, I look at both sides. I look at both extremes. For example, I read articles off of Digg, and I listen to NPR, and I get several news sources in my inbox every day, such as local news, and BBC. I also listen to Glenn Beck and Rush Limbaugh. I would not recommend Rush, but I would recommend listening to Beck. He is WELL informed. And he works his ass off to be that way. You can dismiss everything he says because of a few comments which are extreme (and mostly out of context), or you can open your eyes. It is your choice (which you have already made)...

You can find the answer to your irrelevant question about my age in my profile.

My parents did not listen to talk radio, nor did they watch Fox News while I was growing up. We didn't even have Fox News when I grew up. Believe it or not, I am probably much more well informed than you, because I believe in an open mind. I thank God for opening my mind to all the views I have heard.

I guess you have a point Nick. It's just that Beck so eagerly sang Bush's praises all througout his 8 years and called Americans traitors if they were against the Iraq war etc...

I didn't really start listening to him til 2008. Did he really sing Bush's praises? You might be surprised to learn I don't like Bush at all now.

Beck did support bush with several things, but not the expansion of government which bush supported, such as wiretapping and bailouts, and the expansion of the executive branch which Obama has taken to the extreme with his Czars

Nick, I totally agree, Sean Hannity is a total unthinking drone. It must be boring to get your talking-points from the Republican party.

You know, as tough as the "sport" of politics is, it actually has a very feminine underpinning - this personality-based, catty, love/hate relationship the public has with primped wannabe movie stars. And that's what it is, Hollywood for ugly people.

he's a little too social conservative

Glenn supports the state's rights to decide on social issues, except I'm not sure about abortion. But he supports the state's rights to decide on gay marriage, adoption, prostitution, even gun rights I think

absolutely agree with this

Thats why I love it! I got a chance! lol

I respect that, and thats how it should be, but I just wish his social views on gay marriage and drugs were a little more open minded but agree it should be up to each state not the Fed.

I should say gun restrictions* I seriously doubt he supports a state being able to ban guns... it causes more violence anyway......

I kind of agree about gay marriage, but more like civil unions... I don't know why the government needs to define marriage anyway

The fed shouldn't decide anything. My one problem with Anarchy is how people deal with abortions though, as I consider them to be basically murder. Other than that I feel people have the right to do whatever they please. Marry a goat, smoke some weed, curse on TV, I don't care.

 I agree with this....... well....... maybe not to marry a goat ? :uhoh: lol

Lol well I was trying to make a point that you can do whatever the hell you want and I'm not going to stop you. It's more of a reference to gay marriage :p
