More than 2,700 adrenaline junkies signed up to run the Tough Guy Race at South Perton farm in Wolverhampton. Entrants even had to sign a death warrant before starting the gruelling challenge. Competitors walked away with scrapes, burns, dehydration, hypothermia, sprains, twists, and broken bones. The hardy competitors had to battle through six-foot high stinging nettles- before pressing on to slide through mud filled barbed wire trenches. More... 'There is nothing like this in the world and that is why people from all over the globe want to come here.' said organiser Mouser Wilson. 'I had a captain in Afghanistan write to me saying the British Army recognises Tough Guy as the most arduous test of physical and mental endurance.' Darlene_Ihnfsa Posted July 27, 2009 Share Posted July 27, 2009 What event??:stunned: i'm not joking. if i remember corrrectly, was some picture or tv report to which the reporter won publitzer award, it was a girl stuck in a river, while trying to escape of floodings in her area, the reporter didn't helped her, just stayed with the girl for hours until the girl died of tiredom. :sick: really that first pic made me remember that. :\ Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
