no it used to be from the netherlands and then we didn't want to be with the netherlands any more so we formed us own country in 1931 ;)

that in spanish is: flanders = flandes / waloon = valonia.

ahh well, but Spain had something to do with Flanders, don't one of your kings (Philip "the handsome") married our queen Joan I "the fool"; he used to be called the flemish (well the word to say someone is from Flanders region).
