Echo and the Bunnymen

Featured Replies

I searched for a thread about them but apparently there is none!

They have a new album called "The Fountain".

This is their homepage: http://www.bunnymen.com/

You can download the first single "Think I need it too" for free!

Chris Martin has collaborated with the band on one of the tracks on the album as well :)

Echo And The Bunnymen giveaway new single online

'Think I Need It Too' is available as a free download

Echo And The Bunnymen are giving away their new single 'Think I Need It Too' as a free download.

Available from the band's official website - BunnyMen.com, the download precedes the release of their new album 'The Fountain' on October 12 .

The Liverpool band who embark on a UK tour later this month, enlisted help from Coldplay's Chris Martin for one of the songs which features on the new album.

The news text on the Clash Music website made me smile

Superfan and Coldplay singer Chris Martin dropped by to take part in recording sessions, and was delighted to be able to meet one of his early inspirations.

I quite like the song!

Sounds good, I'm downloading the single right now. Thanks.

I can't hear Chris either ...

I'm talking to myself here

EDIT: Oh no, I'm not!! Hi Imke :)

There is this thread in the CP section...

Some person on an Echo and the Bunnymen forum linked to it, saying

According to an interview with Ian on the Sept. Q, Chris Martin does not appear on the new album. (I know -- cause for celebration.)

Does anybody want to tell these folks? Or should we just let them buy the album and boost sales?

Found here.

They don't like the boys :(

I'm still confused why it is in all the news then that they collaborated with Chris... Maybe we'll find out some day.

Hello! :nice: (I don't know your real name. :embarassed: )

We'll they're not the only ones who don't like Coldplay ... I guess we're getting used to it. But is this a fan statement or a statement by the band? Cause for celebration ... pfft. :dozey:

Hey, my name's Anna!

It's a statement of that member... and yes, we're used to it but I couldn't care less

Hi Anna! :nice:

Well whatever ... it's till a good single. :nice: As long as the band doesn't start bashing them I'm fine with some fans voicing their opinions.

I've just listened to that cover for the first time. Really love it.

To be honest I've never heard of this band before, I'm still such a music noob.

Where did you find the album?

  • Author

Oh, you should invest the time and download the cover further down in the thread I linked to as well!

I have a whole folder full of covers and collaborations on the USB stick in my car, so many great ones!!

You can find most of the EATB songs here on youtube!

Thanks for the link. I like Forgotten Fields too ... I'm going to listen to some more of their songs later. :nice:
