should there be a right or wrong when it comes to arts?

principles are only relative if they aren't based on truth.

Truth can be skewed. 3 people can view the same event and have 3 different stories of what happened. Which one(s) could be true? Or could they all be true?

Define 'perfect'.

Principles are relative. Different people believe in different principles. And anyone who thinks that there is a set of defined rules to live by is an ignorant narcissist. Anything can be justified.

perfect is for me if you play a piece of music with no technical mistakes

but I do not want to say that I would find that perfect, but I assume others to do so

In order for something to truly be 'perfect', everyone would have to think it was 'perfect'. If even one person finds flaw in it in any way, it is no longer perfect.

You are so fucking ignorant and clueless.

He's saying you can't always KNOW the truth

Wow, another person with a brain. Didn't think I'd find one.

sorry, I was actually criticizing myself there... I just meant to be more specific, because art is defined a little more than by its result

No worries Eric, I was just trying to express myself more clearly.

No, there shouldn't be a right or wrong when it comes to visual or musical arts...But I have to admit that when you're doing a certain style of art, like figure drawing or glazing pottery, or playing a Baroque piece, there's a right and wrong way to do it. You can put your own spin on it, sure, but you have to conform to SOME rules or your artwork would look (or sound) like crap.
