Guest howyousawtheworld
Here in Britain, a storm is brewing over the appearance of British National Party leader Nick Griffin's appearance on a political discussion programme tommorow night called Question Time. A record audience is thought to be tuning in to the programme when it is aired tommorow night. Some believe that this should not be allowed because of fears that it will act as a vote gatherer for this fascist party. Others say, "let it happen as it will expose the BNP as nothing but a bunch of racist, fascist pigs"Ā I'm just wondering whether you in your country have ever come across racist parties/groups and whether you'd allow such groups to voice their views. EmmaLouiseSmyth
D: do people honestly think that he's going to get a big enough gathering to carry out his supposed facist ideas? Calm down people, i highly doubt that in a couple of years Britan will be under a Facist leader. Ā I think people will try to stop it. Ā Racism is a horrible thing, disgusting! Ā How come old people get away with a shit load of racism? :laugh3:

It's just the fear that people can become persuaded by such appearances which is never good. Griffin has been exposed as a racist and anti semitic so I doubt people would be prepared to appoint that pig to parliament.
busybeeburns
Being a Burnley fan I often find myself becoming sceptical that the BNP is damaging the area around the town and East Lancashire, despite the vast majority of the population opposing everything they stand for. Its a wonderful part of the country stooped in history, unfortunately whether they like it or not, the BNP are creating a gulf between communities in the area. Bad news, even for the average clarets supporter.
EmmaLouiseSmyth
Its a whole load of fear mongering too. Yes he has these views, yes he is doing the question time debate, and yes, there are fools out there who will think that he makes sense. Ā But britan has a very high population, and i'm pretty sure a high percentage of them remembers what has happened in the past or are of a different race or nationality. Guest howyousawtheworld
One thing I can't be doing with right now are those socialist pricks lining up outside the BBC at this moment. Let's hear what Griffin has to say, then let's criticise him.

Darlene_Ihnfsa
answering the question: racist / facist groups: (i guess you mean if there are extreme parties).Ā well recently there was a trial due to a kid (extreme-left) be murder by another guy (extreme-right), thing is both happened to meet in the tube when one of them was going to attend a march to support extreme-left, so the other, hit him with a knife.Ā result is: he got charged and will be in jail for 26 years.Ā seems yet, the other extreme don't commit crimes, not to mention some slogans, flags, books are forbidden ("extreme-right"), where the others are freely seen everywhere. (extreme-left).Ā if extremes are bad, why one seems better than the other, so is allowed? :wtf: if those are bad, both should be banned, not just one side, it just get the other side gets more angry and so their acts be worst.Ā that saying, classical politic parties, cause some minor parties, are extremist in their ideas even though they don't refer to a classic clasification of politics, but they do act in extreme ways, that said about political parties.Ā there are football supporters who are from extremist ideologies, in all the big teams, although those teams want to hide that, some those groups even get money from the teams.Ā that said, i'm not happy with our politicians, whatever their extreme is, they suck on politics, they just want to get a throne from where to feel themselves good, no matter at which cost.Ā and i don't like racism or fascism, but it yet happen, not to mention, "opposite" racism:Ā there was a case, in which while a man was interviewed on tv, he got hit by a knife (man was from Algeria), and so other foreign people, started to scream "racist, racist" to the killer.Ā guess what, who hit that Algerian man, was another Algerian man. :wtf: how it can be racism? Darlene_Ihnfsa
Maybe he was a white algerian?! all them were the same, not white algerians.Ā see, what i meant by "opposite" racism: is not good i say a black colour person, black, but is ok they call me racist because i am white? :wtf:Ā is that difficult to respect people and don't judge others for that?Ā if i have a problem with an asian person, i have a problem with that single person, not with that person whole etnia, that difficult is to understand that and don't generalize that soon?
Ceckers
Tis very daft, if a black person called a white person a 'whitie' what would happen? Nothing I don't believe! But if a white person called the black person something there would be uproar!

EmmaLouiseSmyth
My friends said that they were in religion class discussing morals. And they were asked if their parents gave them money, would they spend it in drink and walk home? Ā And in front of the polish girls in their class, a group of girls started saying that they wouldn't because there is Polish people around. They said " those polish gang " would attack them, and how they would never trust them . D:Ā Ā Oh and didn't the protests outside the bbc get a bit out of hand?
