Yeh Seattle is allright, its getting to that point in winter when almost everyone wishes they were somewhere else ....PDX=phoenix?? I thnk i would swap with you

Welcome Palmer!:hat: Seattle tends to be wet I'll bet, but probably on the warm side at least. Today we saw our first snow of the season, so be thankful you live in a maritime climate! (how cold is it there, BTW?)

Glad you like Clocks too!

hello Palmer, and PDX means Portland, where i'm from too;)

Cool:cool: Weather like that is very nice, actually! Short winters are a great deal too - here, it's winter until April. Seattle seemed dry in the summer when I went out to visit some cousins - yes, idyllic weather!

ooh, i went to PSU, many many years ago though:P portland is a great city:)

I know it is sad geez, its a shame when something like that happens so close, I was in Tacoma on Friday at a red robin and I ended up sitting right next to a cop eating dinner with his family; and at first its something I really didnt like because I just dont like associating with cops haha but you just realize they are trying to enjoy their meal(or coffee) like everyone else;this just hit home today, i really hope it wasnt that guy I couldnt find their pictures and it really makes me rethink gun control which is not something I want to get into on my intro thread haha

 check google news, seems some freak in Tacoma went beserk and decided to go shopping for cop blood. 4 officers dead/ shot execution style in a -*dont laugh* coffee shop.

;)Dont worry Palmer- there are worse ways to introduce yourself here than talking gun control.

Palmer, I know the feeling - talking to soldiers on leave here, never to return; definitely an odd feeling, and it does make one think twice about what fleeting thoughts go through our minds at times..

Kels - I'll go check it out! I always pictured Tacoma as being pretty peaceful - that dispels that thought for me.. Thanks for the bit-o-info.

:confused:I never felt Tacoma as peaceful- lots of crime there I think.

I only ever spent any time there to just visit the Chihuly glass displays downtown. Love Seattle though.

There is a clip somewhere of Dave Grohl bashing the hell out of Tacoma and its sooo funny, most people say its the armpit of washington but I think it kind of has a cool vibe. down by the water is just sooo unique and whenever I go down there I no joke always pop in Viva la Vida, it just sets the mood by the harbor, especially at night, I have a secret spot where i can go park on the side of the road and climb down a ledge with this rope and you are right on your own private beach and you can watch the sea lions or whatever they are and otters hella close and also watch the boats leave, I almost always go there when ever im in Tac-town
